I do make homemade, but pizza is mostly our "don't have time to cook" meal.

Our nearest local pizza place closed. Now it's Dominos or Pizza Hut or Casey's.

Casey's is good, it really is, but it is greasy and that's not always what we want. Dom and Hut just don't cut it as a replacement.

On Vulcan maybe, but Humans and Logic don't fully overlap and sometimes terms persist in a context where they aren't strictly accurate.
Also, it's a fictional tech and maybe a nacelle housing is integral to warp engines and are used even when the whole assembly is integrated into a ship's main body.

U.S. Automakers Risk Being Reduced to Niche Producers of Gas Vehicles

Just like Asian automakers leapt ahead of Detroit in the 70s. US automakers (and not just them) don't commit to new tech until it becomes clear they'll be obsolete unless they do.

We do have 3 viable US EV builders and they will survive if Detroit builders don't. (Well, maybe not Lucid).

Yep. Starfleet shipbuilders probably just labeled them as "Warp Nacelle - Port side, saucer; integrated".

This *could* result in a lot of pocket vetoes which couldn't be overridden since the GOP majorities are so slim.

TACO, though, so I expect this won't happen.

When Massachusetts passed a "millionaires tax" in 2023, conservatives claimed the rich would flee.

But two years later, they haven't — and MA has collected $5.7B for infrastructure and public education.

A reminder that positive change can still happen at the state level.

Folks, we’ve seen this all before.

He's also not the only problematic person from the show.

The intervening years have revealed a lot of unpleasantness that would color any revival.

If the Sun's pull increased enough to pull in Mercury, it's too late. The effects on the Moon, the tides, the seasons would make things pretty dang dire for humans. And not "wrap it up in 400 pages" dire, but "Game over, man! Game over!"
