Part of the fun of SACC is doing weird little things that add mystery and intrigue to an ordinary day. For example, Buckaroos.
People are angry, of course, about the masked bullies rampaging through our city. But people are also hungry for actions to take that are concrete, specific, and practical.

Collage-O-Rama opens the night of the Belltown Art Walk (Slip Gallery, Seattle) on May 9, and we're celebrating with CUT PASTE N BUTTON! Make a collage, receive an envelope of buttons featuring artwork from the exhibition. Swap to get the trio you want!

Did a test install of the system HQ will be using for all of the monochrome collages at Collage-O-Rama. This is just 18 of 250-ish colorful panels. It’s going to work!

There are a few collages that were wrinkled or bent in the mail. I’ll do my best to flatten them under weight for a few days.
At the end of today I’ll sandwich all of the mounted collages in a stack between two wooden panels and place heavy weight on them to help ensure the adhesive sets well.
I always keep a thin roll of sign tape handy as well as a glue stick with narrow strips of paper for repairing collages. This is a reality of showing collage work. If artists are too sparing with glue or didn’t burnish, things fall off or loosen.
