This sounds extremely my shit but does anyone know if there is other reporting on this that doesn't use AI slop art? Really don't want to support that kind of thing even with a click.

I think they just don't know what they're writing, the price is correct (well, it's Β£180 but close enough) so no idea why they'd edit it later
Every U.K. job ad is like βwe seek a dynamic, world-leading expert to care for priceless, load-bearing activities. Salary: Β£28,000 p.a.β
the man can't stop picking winners
What the BBC haven't done is contextualise any of that, but I'm not surprised they would fail to move beyond 'slightly reword a police press release' as that's their bread and butter
Honestly think this is just coincidence, and the cost of the suit is potentially important as it implies he was buying entry-level stuff, so new to the activity.
if it was the scenario I conjured up even then the most cunning aspect is 'stick him in a wetsuit, that'll confuse everyone', the kind of thing that sounds really good but ultimately is just catnip for all the sleuths out there
I feel like if you're going into the murdering game there is probably a lot of luck going to be involved, it doesn't strike me as a career for the careful
well it was an XXL suit, so there's the chance it was oversized for him and we just can't tell because of the decomposition
while the content of this *sounds* boring I assure you that if you get a basic grasp of it you unlock the ability to go 'what the fuck are you doing Microsoft you incompetent assholes' by the end, which should be reward enough imo
Here's a fun, minimum-technical-bludgeoning guide to a key part of how all of your online shit Just Works (and how it can stop working because people prefer to make money than do the job right) blog.brycekerley.net/2026/03/08/w...
don't think there is any indication he was diving, just swimming I think? no other kit etc. truly most likely scenario is he walked in, changed into his suit, left a bag of stuff and it got stolen in the 3 months it was sat there because hey, free bag of stuff!
could be, feels almost too innocent to be plausible though. like surely they'd have left some trail, talked about the trip etc. or the guilt turned into confessing somewhere along the line
reading through it I can't help thinking there's a foul play aspect, with the lack of signs of transport, no belongings in the area etc. first conclusion I jump to is someone knocked him off miles away, then put him in a wetsuit and dumped him assuming if found it's linked to sports activity
I am also shocked by the lack of coverage of this fire. Itβs so far only affecting the Union Street buildings, but one of those has partially collapsed, from what I can tell backwards into the station. And itβs not yet contained. This is major and more than halfway down BBCβs homepage.
absolutely mad they're not covering it at all apparently
is that real? the BBC story is extremely underplaying it if so, and their video just has firefighters milling about and no evidence of a blaze
There is a tabby cat staring at you as you lay on the sofa. Do not make any sudden moves.
pov you are a cat bed
I am once again asking these assholes to just let me pay for the niche sports I care about, I do not want a bundle with football or movies or whatever the fuck
Stoked to hear Strade Bianche has delivered again, of course I can't watch it myself because some guys with more money than god would like me to pay Β£30 a month to do so. A 700% increase from just 4 years ago! No thanks Discovery you greedy bastards.
steal this energy so every time you fix something and people ask you to explain yourself simply say mysteriously 'an ewa occurred' and refuse to elaborate
great, now we have to find out who deleted the thousands of lines and what they should have been
As a writer, one of the most useful books I own is NΓΆfn Γslendinga (The Names of Icelanders). It lists, in alphabetical order, all the names that Icelanders have ever born*. It's so useful when naming characters and it's now online!
*A precedent does not mean that the name would be allowed now.
it was very much the type of game I might have picked up at some point, maybe once it was more polished and the experience tuned from player feedback. but I guess we don't do that anymore with games
on a more serious note, can't help thinking that if you launch a f2p game and are relying on it going into orbit month 1 to sustain itself on microtransactions you might need to rethink your strategy before you even get started
speedruns these days are insane
time to go spin yourself up some self made yarn
yup! and the difference between wool and something like silk is just the fineness of the base fibre, the low-level "stickability" functions pretty much the same
the fibres (and not just wool, lots of stuff has this property) have enough natural stick that when you spin them together they stay put unless you intentionally start pulling them apart
