RNC Activity Week has wrapped up for another year and it has been a fantastic few days. The group enjoyed bowling at The Grove, high ropes at Oaker Wood and a full sports day with blind football, goalball, judo and acoustic shooting. An ongoing game of The Traitors added even more excitement.

We’re delighted that Thomas Franks are now taking care of our catering, and today they’re bringing their flair to the students’ Christmas lunch. The team is busy preparing a delicious spread to make this celebration extra special.

RNC student Lizzy recently donated two cuddly toy bunnies to the Sunshine Radio Toy Appeal! She shared, “I wanted to help other children feel the magic of Christmas. My bunny symbolises comfort I received during my surgery.” Her kindness shows how personal experiences can inspire us to give back.

This week, RNC students had the privilege of hearing Lu Lawrence, a second-generation Holocaust speaker. Organised by two students and the Holocaust Educational Trust, Lu shared her father's powerful survival story, followed by a Q&A session to deepen understanding of the Holocaust and its lessons.

Massage and Complementary Therapies students had a great session with physiotherapist Daniel Lawrence from RockTape, diving into dry cupping. This technique reduces pain, improves flexibility, and supports mobility, giving them valuable practical experience with internationally recognised methods.

The RNC community observed two minutes of silence today in remembrance of the fallen. Executive Principal Lucy spoke on Armistice Day's significance, followed by student Samih reading poems honouring those who served.
