Yeah, I've been wondering as well... Wouldn't people with ties abroad be way more likely to have a passport?

Very few unfortunately
I agree, but the phrasing was funny to me, because 2.4% of the USA's population (340 million) live in NYC (over 8.25 million).
Waiting for the big outlets to put two and two together and realize that police whose identities are secret and facilities are secret are secret police.
Everything thatβs happened over the past six months has been a response to an imaginary crisis. There is no immigrant invasion. No trade crisis. No scientific or governance crisis. Just people completely high off their own supply trying to fundamentally reorder society. None of this had to happen.

Satsie's new zine on Silent Payments dropped. It's a neat little introduction to the topic.
I'm a big fan of not calling people criminals before they're convicted. I hope that all suspected criminals get due process, so when non-criminals get falsely accused they are identified as innocent. I also don't want anyone to get abducted and tortured, so I find your supposed position rather sick.
Gee thanks, Torsten.

Maybe a good time to remind that BIPs are author documents that represent the authorsβ recommendation to the Bitcoin community.
Gnome Chomsky sounds like a hilarious character concept for a DnD character

Cake chart of the UTXO set composition by count. It shows 34.6% P2TR, 28.6% P2PKH, 26.6% P2WPKH, 7.8% P2SH.
Today, 34.6% of all UTXOs are P2TR, via dune.com/murchandamus...
Today I realized that transactions that only spend one P2A input are non-segwit transactions in the sense that they donβt have a witness section.

Without due process, being innocent or a citizen does not protect you.
See you at the next protest.
Jon Atack just gave a talk on the BIPs repository, being a BIP Editor, and the BIP3 proposal. I couldnβt be there, but if you have any questions, please feel free to AMA here:

If due process is denied for anyone, it can be denied for you too. If anyone can be snatched off the streets, detained, and deported without due process, it can happen to you too.
We demand due process is upheld for every single person.
A reminder that if the government can send migrants to a prison camp without any due process, it can send U.S. citizens there, too. I know because this happened to me and my family in 1942.
Currently, there are fewer than a half a block worth of transactions weighting for confirmation.

For many decades, Freiburg has been expanding tram lines and bike paths, enlarging and beautifying pedestrian zones, optimizing traffic lights, and improving legal regulations.
These efforts have been a great success: 79% of all trips are made by bicycle, bus, train, or on footβthe best in Germany.
If you accept that non-citizens have no right to due process, you are accepting that citizens have no right to due process. All the government has to do is claim that you are not a citizen; without due process you have no chance to prove the contrary.
