I am one of those people - lol. I got a couple of chapters in and I just could NOT finish it.
Unfortunately, this does not surprise me. They rolled back pride lines and promotions after conservative pushback over the past couple of years. They were never truly committed. It was always performative.
It's infuriating. Especially when some of them totally "got" me.
When a business "rolls back" their DEI initiatives, it confirms that it was always performative.

L is full of smiles as he pretends to claw at his Oreo gingerbread house. He definitely used the most of the decorations on the actual house - as opposed to eating them first! There is white and blue icing, red gumballs, oreo cookies, sprinkles, and a decorated tree and gingerbread man.
E poses as if she's taking a big bite out of the roof of her Oreo gingerbread house. The house has blue and white icing on it - but most of the candy decorations went straight to the stomach!
R is all about funny faces these days and they've got wide eyes and raised eyebrows with teeth showing through a goofy smile. The M&M gingerbread house was built sideways on the tray, so the walkway leads to a wall with only windows, and the whole thing is covered in white icing.
Today the kids made gingerbread houses - and then ate them for dinner.
