ロバ隊長に負ける
ネパールの高山麓、標高2~3千㍍の村々を歩いた時の事。
街道は交易路でもあり、重い荷物を背負ったロバ隊も沢山往来。8頭程のロバ隊の先頭は責任感ある隊長ロバが務め、その立派な飾りは名誉の証。人は後ろから時折鞭打ち、ロバさん達に活を入れます。
昼休憩の村に到着直前、突如急勾配が。私と偶然隣を歩くロバ隊長、あまりの傾斜に怯み、同時にハー、とため息・・。
でも、意を決して先に一歩踏み出したのは、遥かに重い荷を担ぐロバ隊長！
乗り越えるべき試練は私の方が断然軽い。
責任も負う者の根性を見せつけられ、完敗！ 情けなや😓・・。
ロバさんの心意気を知れた、貴重な瞬間、でした。
