Yeah that's definitely a problem. Regardless of how much a job aligns with one's interests or not, it has to be at least decent (which is probably a few steps above "soul-deadening").
Good luck! Hope you can find something better.
On one hand, working in some field that more closely aligned with one's hobbies can be more fun. On the other hand, it increases the risk of losing the enjoyment that comes with said hobby when it becomes day to day work...

I was very close to skipping #CFZ2025. I have done every CFZ since 2016, but losing the room lottery and the (in my opinion) slight degradation in quality in 2023/2024 were almost enough for me to skip a year. In the end, I'm glad I didn't.
I really hope we can get a colder dancefloor next year...
