Not looking to fix anything, just watching Windows struggle with footing in an era where there's less and less reason to use it.

I'm not going to act like I'm *not* up in arms about the AI slop, but it's deeper than that.

Locking security updates behind payments, literally bricking MIDI for zero reason, and yet another major update this soon after the lengthy lineage of Win10.

It's just more money grabs for nothing.

Literally anything that would have kept me locked to Windows barring a hyper select few games locked behind anti-cheat, are now in a cross platform era.

Keep this up, push folks who don't even need laptops more to netbooks or even a potential resurgence of phone-laptops (whatever those are called).

As a musician I've switched to Mac OS (and am always open to reconsidering Linux).

As a gamer, Linux is nearly entirely an option now.

Productivity largely happens in the cloud.

If a subscription, AI stranglehold is the only way for your OS to be profitable, that's right *bad*.

I'm just stoked the backend is finally in a smoother state than it was a year ago - the usual hitches were the least of my concerns and left plenty of room to keep track of any *other* fires haha.

I feel like nvidia is actively finding more routes to fuck over creatives.

Updated my drivers for the first time in a while to find out they dropped support for the 10-series entirely (my 2nd graphics card I use for a little extra render power and additional outputs is a 1070ti).

I use NYXLs on my guitar, so I def know how much basically any strings add up x.x

For the lurkers, that's easily over $80 USD in strings between all four instruments, passing $120 for mid-range and up towards $200+ on the high end.

As an owner and operator of a 5-string bass... Yeah they're pretty expensive.
