Did Peter Theil sponsor the study?

News and politics junkie. Liberal. Rejoiner. City professional so a lot of that goes with the territory π€¦π»ββοΈ. Love art, culture, gym, jousting with the inevitable feeling of existential dread. Oh yeah, refugee from Twitter.
Did Peter Theil sponsor the study?
He *is* the Kennedy Curse.
David Agusβ response resonated with me the most - incredible that others wouldnβt have this basic instinct and due diligence. Kudos to all three of these men.
The video appeared to show he broke the veteranβs forearm in the process of removing himβ¦.
Big pot kettle vibes here.
Picked a hell of a couple of years to quit sniffing glue.
Do it for the honest friendship Liam!
What do you mean depends where you are? Theyβre all in the same place!
lol principled position for China is one that benefits them. As long as Russia is weakened (but not too weakened that causes regions instability), the Chinese will be happy the war continues.
True but sadly very possible.
They only need about 25% of the vote and they could get a majority so not sure alienating a vast majority of the electorate matters a whole lot.
Eh the point if you can get rid of a dodgy presidentβ¦
But to be clear, there is always a choice. We can definitely have both, all it requires is more taxes or taking from other govt services.
Today years old also. Incredible. Incredibly sad.
What is the odd obsession with lists though. Just elect constituency reps with a rank ordering / proportional systems like PR-STV or AV.
Definitely fair but then itβs an argument for either reducing the number of MPs or enlarging / replacing the chamber (dust off those plans for a new Westminster building). I know people love their history and traditions but things need to move on to be effective.
Such competence. But also it does show how archaic Westminster is - recording voting by walking through a lobby.
Other reporters are nearly as bad as him, letting him get away with that.
lol democracy is possibly ending in the US and there are βconcernsβ.
My god, the β(2026)β reference was uncomfortably foreboding of potential successive movies
You make it sound like China hasnβt banned all these internet services π
Oh congrats, you found a way around the ban of one of the many things the Chinese have prohibited! Hope your workaround continues to work and the govt doesnβt quickly snuff out your access at any momentβ¦

Pointing out issues with other countriesβ system of governance = racist. π€‘
China not pretending to be something it isnβt, is hardly a virtue. And China not *yet* (Taiwan the elephant in the room) invading another country doesnβt give it much brownie points either in the league of imperial powers - as youβve already pointed out itβs history isnβt clean on that front either.
All countries have multiple and often competing interests. The plus that the US had was that human rights an democracy for example was one of them (which clearly sometimes got relegated by other interests at lots of different times) whereas China for example doesnβt even have that as one.
Love to see that βmore democracyβ youβre talking about. Let us know when it drops!
You do realise saying one country is worse than the other isnβt saying that the βbetterβ country doesnβt have problems and isnβt also βbadβ? You do get that donβt you? Like, saying murder is worse than theft didnβt mean theft is ok? Or does that not compute with you still?
Weβre too exposed to the US for sure and I think we should actually be pivoting towards China and away from the US, it it still doesnβt take away from the fact theyβre literally a one party authoritarian state, and comparisons to Britain shouldnβt make anyone think they are somehow not bad. π€·ββοΈ
I thought you already said goodbye?
