Non-zero chance the bozos try to ban Nintendo.
Fun thing to think about very briefly: who currently has better lawyers, the United States or Nintendo

What would the world look like on the brink of freedom from colonial oppression?

Happy Friday! The Hilltop website just got a face lift thanks to @balbontino.com and the good folks at @wearecontinue.bsky.social.
Do people still go to websites in 2026? Unclear. But ours now has CoR stuff and looks very slick if you feel like clicking around.

Three panel comic. Panel 1: the set of that modern internet dating show with the balloons (not sure what it’s called but I’m seeing clips constantly). The host stands in front of a lineup of woman holding red balloons. She says to the eligible bachelor out of frame, “tell these ladies about yourself.” Panel 2: the eligible bachelor is a moose. He says, “so basically I’m a moose.” Panel 3: all but one woman pops their balloon, signaling their disinterest.
“The rules-based international order is dead” vs. “Hey, play by the rules, guys!”

A lot of people say AI isn't very good for the world and its outputs are routinely unreliable, but these haters fail to see how it's revolutionizing how we incinerate schoolchildren.
And yet seeing thousands of millennials boomer-posting in response to this – “You’re in my house” – makes me think the kid is probably right.
adventure games from the 80s were intentionally designed to be tricky, mean and occasionally counterintuitive so that you could get stuck for long periods of time. this was called “value for your dollar”
Much to think about.
Super cool! Can’t wait to see more.
Incredibly long story!
Madman out of control, surrounded by a bunch of grinning buffoons.

What do you mean I have to “go outside” and “be social”?!
Last year when I was checking into a hotel, the desk person was wearing Meta glasses. I kindly asked them to take them off. They were annoyed. I said, “I do not consent to you looking at my credit card and ID with Meta glasses on.” My instincts were correct: www.bbc.com/news/article...
Hey man, there's only so many phone calls you can have with Peter Howell where he tells you what happened is actually not a big deal or conversations with editors who still employ the goofball before you've just gotta move on for you own mental health!
This was entirely about me dunking on Parker.
Good on the good folks for resigning over this, but I hope more broadly that this doesn't mean the good the org does ceases to be.
You do not have to hand it to him.
Two weeks since we announced Curse of Resthaven. Still foggy. Still cursed.
If you missed it, come see the strange new frontier we’re charting. Wishlist it on Steam, Dev Diary #2 drops next week.
And seriously, thanks for all the love so far! store.steampowered.com/app/3796150/...
Just heard that TFCA member Andrew Parker also resigned.
A truly courageous move by the guy who stole my dead dad's identity and used it to defraud people!
Elle-Máijá Tailfeathers is returning her TFCA award best supporting performance in a Canadian film, following the organization's decision to censor her acceptance speech during Monday night's gala. Here are excerpts from Elle-Máijá's email to the TFCA, shared with permission. "To the membership and executives of the Toronto Film Critics Association; Firstly, I would like to thank the TFCA for recognizing my performance in Melanie Oates’ beautiful film, Sweet Angel Baby. Playing Toni was one of the highlights of my career and I am deeply proud of that film and all that it offers; especially as a queer Indigenous woman. As a filmmaker, I also have profound respect for the work of film critics so I do not take this recognition lightly. Regretfully, I am writing to inform you that I will be returning the award due to the TFCA leadership’s choice to censor my words on Palestine. I was unable to attend the gala in Toronto so I sent in an acceptance speech by video. The following statement was removed from the video - When we were shooting Sweet Angel Baby, October 7th happened and it changed everything. I just want to say that my heart continues to be with the people of Palestine who are experiencing this ongoing genocide and thank you to anyone in this industry who’s been brave enough to say anything."
Absurd. Via @justsayrad.bsky.social on the hellsite, The Toronto Film Critics Association censored lle-Máijá Tailfeathers acceptance speech because she mentioned Palestine. Both weird and pathetic!
