I never thought I'd say this but… I don't miss working on SAMMI, or stream related stuff in general. There, I said it 😊
I’ve been busy building our home dashboard app, a house hunting app, and a few fish apps just for myself. And honestly… it's been way too fun!
Kick 2.0 for @sammi.solutions is out!
The extension has been completely reworked. It now uses the official API and some unofficial methods to offer as much functionality as possible.

To migrate from the previous unofficial Kick versions:
1. Fully uninstall the extension via SAMMI Core -> SAMMI Bridge -> Uninstall extension.
2. Remove or disable the old Kick deck. Make sure you are not using any old Kick buttons, as they may break, even though I tried to keep behavior the same.
This update fixes issues with account linking and token retrieval. It also adds new events like Kicks Gifted, lets you connect a Kick bot account, and more!

I don't think it's helpful to keep revisiting this publicly in an attempt to make everyone understand or agree. Most people never will. At some point, it's healthier to close the chapter, stop engaging with bad actors, and move forward rather than letting this continue to define everyone involved.
A lot of current/ex SAMMI devs poured enormous time and energy into the project over the years. Many of us went through extremely stressful periods, especially during the LB2 transition, including legal pressure, suicide threats from bad actors, and other serious situations most people never saw.
AI can't be an afterthought anymore. You need to prepare for it now. If you don't want to adapt, software development might not be the right path, because this shift isn't slowing down.
AI multiplies everything. If your app is bad, AI makes it 10x worse. If your app has great foundation, well designed flows and has the right guards in place with AI in mind, AI launches it forward.
If you're a developer and you're not using AI now to stay relevant or get ahead, you're already behind. You can't just "start using AI" later when you have no choice. By then it's too late.

It's great that new tools are being worked on, but they're not here right now. Nobody knows when, where, or even if they'll become a real replacement. What exists today is SAMMI - the tool you rely on, the tool you earn money with, and the tool that still needs support to stay alive.
If you still use SAMMI, please consider supporting its sole developer, AI debates or his PR skills aside. He's the one actively maintaining it, pushing updates, fixing bugs, and keeping everything running. He event pushed out a new update right after he took over SAMMI, fixing SAMMI crashes.
