Marathon feels like a neon-coated Simon Stalenhag painting. It combines Apple II aesthetics with a horrific capitalistic hellscape future where we are slaves to a dogmatic ideology, a take on modern social media circles. There is so much here and it is all drenched in vibes and an excellent OST.

I'll just note that people from the games journo industry, none of you wrote the article. If I am following you, understand that you were not the one who pushed this negative narrative and it came completely out of left field.

For once I get to review two things simultaneously and the overlap doesn't fucking kill me.

I got an entire Reddit post on r/gaming removed because I pointed out and proved how an outlet was purposely misconstruing an email to drive a negative narrative.

I'm actually having fun with this one. It's different enough from ARC. It has a bit of a cyber-horror tinge to it that really pulls me in. Folks are going to need to keep an open mind when it comes to the learning curve.
