Vouchers aren't free, they are fraud. Instead of creating a fair and inclusive system, the federal voucher program funds billionaires over students and drains money from public schools: static1.squarespace.com/static/582f7...

Federal funding should prioritize community needs, not fuel enforcement that traumatizes children, disrupts schools and takes lives.
We must urge Congress to vote NO on additional funding for ICE: actionnetwork.org/letters/tell...
In 2025, we advanced our vision for public education and defended inclusive access and funding. We met the moment with action, strategy, and collective power. 💙

Last week parents in NJ resisted the administration's push for "patriotic education."
On parent noted that "..she will keep her son home from school and give him an alternative civics assignment of her own."

Every child deserves an accessible education. In this season of gratitude, let’s honor IDEA’s legacy and take action to protect special education.
#IDEA50 #SpecialEducation #DisabilityRights
50 years ago, Congress passed IDEA, securing the right of students with disabilities to receive a public education, along with services that support their learning and development. With recent staffing cuts weakening key enforcement offices at the DOE, those protections are at risk.
Our students deserve better and Congress has the power to put children's education first. Use this action alert from @neatoday.bsky.social and tell your elected representative to stop the administration’s drive to dismantle the Department of Education NOW: www.nea.org/advocating-f...

Despite increased use of AI by teachers, many still acknowledge the risks of AI on student’s critical thinking, research skills, & data breaches. That’s why it’s important for schools to evaluate their goals for education & how best to achieve them, rather than quickly adopting AI tech in classrooms
In a recent report from the Center for Democracy & Technology, 86% of students reported using AI in the 2024-25 school year — 73% for personal use, 50% for school use. AI literacy is necessary for preparing students to think critically, question deeply, and use technology consciously.
Join us at 1pm ET today as we kick off off our network learning series on Navigating AI in Public Education. We will explore what questions to ask, what red flags to watch for, and how to ensure families have a voice before districts adopt new technologies.

✅ 78% say their school is “good” or “excellent.”
✅ Biggest gap? Media & policymakers focus on culture wars, while students care most about feeling safe & supported.
Public money should fund public schools. Period. Vouchers drain classrooms of resources, while taxpayers end up subsidizing private schools for the wealthy. That’s not “choice,” that’s inequity.

🚨 Vouchers aren’t about “school choice.” They undermine public education, strip resources from classrooms, and force taxpayers to subsidize private schools for the wealthy while our public schools struggle and students are left behind. Go to truthinedfunding.org/newsletter & learn more.
