Book Review: “Still Into You” by Erin Connor My friends at Forever know me far too well sometimes. While visiting their office in NYC, Dana offered me an early copy of Still Into You by Erin Connor because it's about a music journalist and has emo nostalgia. Well, that's all the convincing it took me as a journalist who grew up rockin' out to emo and punk music.

If you were a fan of the emo/metal music of the early 2000s, this book is for you. Still Into You by #ErinConnor is a metal frontman and music journalist getting their second chance. Check out my full review now!

Book Review: “Woman Down” by Colleen Hoover Curiosity got the best of me, y'all. I've read a couple Colleen Hoover books and been so-so on them overall. That paired with all the drama of her past and the It Ends With Us legal saga made me a bit hesitant to pick up anything else of hers. When the original jacket copy for Woman Down came out, it sounded very close to real life, and piqued my interest.

New #BookReview
#ColleenHoover is back with a book that apparently needed a warning about not comparing it to her real life. Is #WomanDown worth the read? Check out my thoughts.

Book Review: “Red City” by Marie Lu I've been a fan of Marie Lu's books for years, so when I heard she was dropping an adult novel, I was highly intrigued. We've seen several YA authors switching to adult novels over the last year or so, which always piqued my interest in the story idea that pulled them away from their genre. For Red City , there's a lot of factors that make this an adult story, and I would agree that there's no real way to make it YA.

#BookReview: Marie Lu's adult debut, Red City, is a Romeo & Juliet-esque tale of two childhood friends ending up on opposite sites of a magical drug war. Check out my review!

Book Review: “This Is Not A Test” by Courtney Summers Sometimes I get lucky and find the hidden ARCs at a book festival. That's exactly how I ended up with a copy of This Is Not A Test by Courtney Summers. Her publicist left a copy of it for someone to find at YALLFest 2025 and I snagged it. Mwuahahaha. This Is Not A Test is a repackage of the book that was released more than a decade ago.

Event Review: Love Y’all Book Festival 2026 Romance readers flocked to Decatur, Georgia to spend Valentine's weekend with their favorite authors. Love Y'all Book Festival took over Courtyard by Marriott Atlanta Decatur Downtown for two days of author signings, panels, shopping, and more. This is a challenging event to review because it truly felt like a tale of two events over the two days. Saturday didn't get started on the right foot.

Book Review: “Fearful” by Lauren Roberts If you've been around, you know that I don't often post negative reviews. It has nothing to do with getting the book for free (thanks, Simon Teen for this one!), like some suggest about book reviewers who only share positive reviews. This is a place of hype, not negativity, but sometimes, I need to rant and maybe there's a point in there somewhere.

New #BookReview... or should I call it a book rant instead? Lauren Roberts wrapped up her Powerless series with Fearful, and I fear it was better left unwritten. Find out why (since I don't usually post negative reviews....)

Book Review: “Hollywood Hookup” by Christy Swift Last year, I picked up a debut novel called Celebrity Crush after Andrew Eiden (aka Teddy Hamilton) told me he had fun recording the audiobook for it. Book Review: “Made You Look” by Tanya Grant Book mail is forever the best kind of mail, and I'm always grateful when a new book arrives. One that hit my mailbox, courtesy of Berkley, is Made You Look by Tanya Grant. It has snowy trees on the cover, so when the first snow of the year fell, I grabbed it and started reading. Made You Look is about a group of influencers who head off to a remote cabin in the woods to promote a new resort, along with a photographer, stylist, and the influencers' manager.

Book Review: “How To Kill A Guy in 10 Dates” by Shailee Thompson I started 2026 out with a banger, y'all. The first book I finished this year is Shailee Thompson's debut, How To Kill A Guy in 10 Dates and it was the perfect choice I didn't know I needed. I'm not a big slasher/horror girlie at all, so I was a little nervous about diving into How To Kill A Guy in 10 Dates…

New #BookReview and my goodness, is this one wild! Shailee Thompson's debut novel is a genre-blending delight, mashing up slashers and romcoms. How To Kill A Guy In 10 Dates is a locked room serial killer at a speed dating event. You're welcome. Check out my review for more.

Book Review: “By Invitation Only” by Alexandra Brown Chang One of my favorite books of the year came from a debut YA author. It didn't seem like my normal vibe at first glance, by Alexandra Brown Chang's By Invitation Only had me glued to my seat and I finished it in a single sitting while watching football with my husband. The pages just flew by! By Invitation Only is a dual-POV story set at an elite debutante ball in Paris.

Book Review: “Game, Set, Match” by Jennifer Iacopelli One thing leads to another around here, and that's how this book ended up in my hands. An author friend wanted to introduce me to her author friend and thus, I ended up reading two Jennifer Iacopelli books in a short amount of time. Game, Set, Match was a new book to me, but not a new book in general. It's actually the first one Iacopelli wrote and published more than a decade ago, but due to publishing being publishing, it ended up not getting much attention at all.

It's release week for Jennifer Iacopelli's tennis romance: Game, Set, Match. This is a revised & updated version of her debut novel from more than 10 years ago. Check out my full #bookreview now!

How Does Finding Her Edge on Netflix Compare to the Book by Jennifer Iacopelli? Netflix dropped a new sports romance tv show, just in time for the Olympics. Finding Her Edge is climbing the charts on Netflix, and with that comes the realization for many that the show is based on a book of the same name by Jennifer Iacopelli. Whenever there's an adaptation of a book, the questions of which is better and how to the compare are quick to follow.

#FindingHerEdge is tearing up the #Netflix charts right now. How does the hit #sportsromance show compare to the original book by #JenniferIacopelli? I'm breaking down the differences.

Book Review: “Half His Age” by Jennette McCurdy If there's a 2026 book release that has people chomping at the bit, Jennette McCurdy's debut novel is one of them. Book Review: “Finding Her Edge” by Jennifer Iacopelli Sometimes, I stumble into some pretty cool things. At YALLFest 2025, I wandered off from my squad to say hi to an author friend of mine. She was a plus one this time instead of a guest, and that guest was Jennifer Iacopelli. She was busy filming content (with who I now know is the actress in the Netflix adaptation), but her publicist handed me a book and I accepted, like anyone would in said situation.

This week, Jennifer Iacopelli's novel, Finding Her Edge, will hit Netflix as an adapted tv show. Check out my review of the book here, as well as my conversation with Jen.
