I love cormorants. My favourite waterfowl.

I found the gender swapping from the original quite interesting too.

I absolutely adore my copy of Wuthering Heights. There’s something about reading a book that my father once read quite a few years before I was born. 😊

Something which always rankles me is when a history book or item of information states that a certain period was a time of β€œgreat prosperity” for an area.

What it overlooks is that it was a time of great wealth-gathering for a select few when the masses lived in abject poverty and squalorβ€¦πŸ‘€

No, Grammarly. My main character will definitely be β€œblobbing out” not β€œwatching” trash on the television.

So, now I’m about a third of the way through Sam Spallucci: Dance of Death, it’s a good time to have a deep reread of what I’ve written so far to ensure it makes sense.
I always find this makes later editing so much easier.

I always find the whole Lilith thing quite fascinating. It's interesting to see how someone has tried to make the two creation accounts match. I can't help but wonder if there were other Lilith myths kicking around beforehand that were lost. In the "on top" story, she already feels fully formed.

I love it when a scene just comes together nicely. I sat down this afternoon to bash out some dialogue between my paranormal investigator, Sam Spallucci, and a suspect in a murder, not knowing what the Dickens I should do. Then I saw the look on the suspect’s face and the dialogue flowed naturally.

A tired but happy walker waiting for the bus home 😊

I’ve just had a cracking few days up in the lakes. Lots of walking; quite a bit of chilling. A bath will be required tonight!

Okay, so here’s a weird question…
Has anyone reading this bought a shed load of my books this month? Loads of my titles seem to have sold in pairs.
Hands up if it was you so I can send you a virtual hug β™₯️

Jealous of the Brian Aldiss. I read one of his short story collections over Christmas and now need to acquire more of his work.
