Thanks Nathaniel! So glad to hear youβve been enjoying the show. I certainly love making it and wish I had more time to devote to it. I will say that, you will definitely enjoy our next two-timer of a guest (if you catch my drift)

This Friday is Kassai-Day if you ask Christopher Iaali. Though, based on his freshly published Premium article, we think he'd say that about every day
Chris thinks that Kassai is still a force to be reckoned with in #fabtcg. Follow the βοΈ in our bio to see what Chris is talkin' bout
@ekatchi.bsky.social please don't let @beygels.bsky.social take another one...
Over the weekend, we crowned a champion. Congrats to Timothy Long for becoming the AGE STL March Open winner
It was a diverse CC metagame, but Timothy brought Marionette to a mirror in the finals and a fat W overall
His and all other T8 decklists are on our website π in bio
Thatβs awesome! May you never die to Blood Debt. Go with value, soldier π«‘
It was me....I approved it. I'm a Levia-lover as well and it did my heart good to see Jacob give her a real go
Since editing this article I went ahead and tried his decklist and it's a blast and a half

Thatβs actually crazy
Itβs true, we did. Best smile in FAB
I had a ton of fun chatting with @loganpetersen.bsky.social
A little too much fun because I had to be up quite early the next day, but thatβs what happens when you like what youβre doing
Kick off your shoes, get in your beanbag chair, and hang out with us
Now to hibernate for another two months

Congrats man! It did my heart good to see you in Top 8
You cursed him!
LFG WESLEYYY!!!!!!!!!
Have a good show, homie!
We do what we can!
For me, the appeal of FAB has always been that if I lose a game, itβll (most of the time) be my own fault
In my mind, the people that play the best SHOULD win the tournament and thatβs the sign of a format with competitive agency
It also means that if a rando works hard they can win just the same
Praise be to random discards
Wobble baby, wobble baby, wobble baby, wobble
We do bring the killers to the yard in SoCal
My point wasnβt that they were playing it, but that they were consistently performing well at it. I think what I am responding to is the notion that SAGE inherently doesnβt give players the agency to do well at competitive events
I guess from my perspective I havenβt felt that the viable hero spread isnβt too far off from CC (while that seems contradictory to the PQ data). Though if it is too narrow I do trust LSS to wield the ban-hammer effectively
This has been my experience too. Exactly why I felt like a vibe check was necessary
Based on my one Calling, I could definitely see a world where Bof3 Top 8 is employed. SD was small but it was still over by 2p or 3p each day
I do completely agree that Blitz was screwy and not viable as a competitive format. Kudos to your friend rocking their Skirmishes, but I donβt think comparing R10 of a Calling and a hefty amount of Skirmish wins are the same thing though
This has been my experience as well. I definitely still feel like my decisions matter AND that the rule-set and card pool are more accessible for newer players
