I find my memory fades really fast for the color I saw. The grading is a bit forgiving which makes it feel nicer :)

I got vowels working!! Using sysex messages to program them isn't really great, but I don't know enough about MIDI to get a better solution right now. I'm happy it kinda sounds like something though!
