Depending on how this works, we're going to use this for is for (at least) our monthly events that have a focus on FBT dancer groups
They, DJs, and any other staff who need a very poor avatar (like an invisible photographer who has VRCLens) will be the only ones who will bypass the avi restrictions

And I don't have the staff to enforce poor or better avatars consistently
Enforcing poor or better often drops our attendance or causes arguments/animosity or confusion

So as a rave/music event club owner with what USED to be a high end PC, I'm very excited about this
Rn, most of our events can't be recorded reliably by a videographer due to performance problems and we sometimes have DJs or dancers or photographers lag out when they are trying to perform

I'm so excited to hear it

The only instance of 2 million poly avatars I think are acceptable would be for performance art
There are events like Terminus where the avatars play entire sequences and rush you through scenes
The limits they have to allow for such things to exist

What phone if you don't mind me asking? I know it runs alright on my Pixel 6 Pro (but, like I said, it gets my phone too hot and it also eats my battery)

I loved how the venue, avatars, and theme was for the Trevor Project in June
That one was one of my favorites

Man, seeing clubbing go from an avatar that was a "club" in the optimized box world to where people are pushing it now has been the most amazing thing to bear witness to.

Yeahhhh, they made 6gb of RAM to be the minimum a few years back
That's what a Quest 2 has and many modern phones have
It's my understanding that that is why they ended Quest 1 standalone support, it only has 4gb of RAM
Considering VRC heats up and lags on my 12gb RAM phone, I understand the limits

1 would be too dark when the lights darker but it could look cool if total darkness is the goal
3 could go hard but (at least in this photo) looks possibly too bright?

In my experience, RAM goes out all the time and at random so I'm not surprised
The manual for your motherboard and videos of RAM replacement from someone like Linus Tech Tips on YouTube are your best friends for RAM replacement info

So it appears that 18+ Group+ nsfw instance is allowed by ToS unless users who join don't know/consent to the NSFW content

I could see why it would be ideal to run such events as Group only with a group that approves members then, that way they for sure read the group rules and consent
