If anyone is friends with any Georgian air traffic controllers, buy them a nice bottle of wine. As guardians of pretty much the only narrow gap still available between Europe and Asia that avoids both Iran, the Gulf, Ukraine and Russia, they are under some substantial pressure.

There’s a person next to me doing an entire conference call at breakfast (complete with code digging) and my brother in Christ that’s why they invented room service. And also, questionable life choices really.

Please stop looking at FR24 and wondering about weird trajectories… gps is so jammed in the region now that the explanation is almost always just that.

Just for the record, COBOL is a 7 decade old programming languages that underpins enormous parts of global financial systems and infrastructure.

When I said "AI will destroy the economy" this wasn't quite how I imagined that going to be quite honest

This is the kind of thing a rich CEO says at the beginning of a science fiction movie to establish for the audience that he is a sociopath and the villain.

Musk is famous for exaggerating Tesla's capabilities. He lies just like Trump. Where others entered the field AFTER Tesla, they are already at Level 4 FSD where Tesla is still stuck at Level 2. Because of his ego and cost-cutting measures, Musk ignored his engineers request to switch to LIDAR.

Tesla Robotaxis Reportedly Crashing at a Rate That’s 4x Higher Than Humans

The incidents bring the robotaxi service to a total of 14 crashes since launching last summer.

The new data raises concerns about how safe Tesla’s systems really are compared to the average driver.

This is at the same time glaringly obvious and an absolutely necessary wake up call to anyone who uses GenAI to search for answers to questions they don’t know the answer to already.

You are extremely right (and more generally a lot of the Japan travel advice is clichΓ© or outdated).

At the same time I tend to advise people to travel to Japan with some extra budget for a few important splurges (a couple of onsen ryokan stays, kaiseki meals…)

This is ENTIRELY stock fraud for the SpaceX/xAI IPO trying to get on the AI hype train.

Datacenters in space is an even stupider idea than the Cybertruck and that is saying something.

… not optimal! If you are designing a robot you can design it BETTER than a humanoid, fit for purpose. General humanoids are great sci-fi concepts but not really commercially viable.
