Thinking #Oscars I love horror
#LongCOVIDAwarenessDay
Learning to wear a #respie when out and about seems like a big ask… but once you get in the habit, you hardly think about it at all.
Prevention is still the best option. You’ll not miss your energy, tastebuds, ability to concentrate etc… until it is gone.
“However, if autism researchers are outright dismissing the living experiences of autistic people and don’t see us as partners in knowledge production, then you have to question ”why?”
I share my thoughts on the controversial Uta Frith TES article below ⬇️

Star Trek Deep Space Nine scene. Rom, a Ferengi alien fella with giant ear lobes and butt shaped head, is standing in uniform and looking kind of shaken up and shooketh. Like if he walked in on his parents "wrestling." Closed caption reads, "You have every right to be depressed, Brother."
At the beginning of the pandemic some disabled people felt hope.
We saw inclusion and accessibility improve overnight.
We saw accommodations put in place that we had spent years begging for.
We saw the world adapt.
That hope was ripped away during the rush back to normal.
It still hurts.
It really just shows, that people who have that mindset, really don't care about 'overdiagnosis'.
They should care about people getting the support they actually need, instead years are wasted with things getting worse, the treatment is completely wrong, and no one is questioning why.
I will always find it a little funny when people talk about autism/adhd 'overdiagnosis' with the framing that it means people are using up resources.
I was misdiagnosed for 4 years with bipolar disorder and no one gave a shit that I was seeing a psych weekly and taking meds, I didn't actually need.
Being a neurodivergent adult feels like a constant battle of trying to prevent burnout.
My elbow/arm pain finally went away and I am tentatively crocheting again🥰

I finally got I Saw The TV Glow on bluray today.
I can't wait to watch it again and miss all the high definition detail through the tears.
Star Trek Voyager scene. Seven of Nine (tertiary adjunct of unimatrix 01) is pictured. She has a dolphin shaped metal robotic implant around her left eye because she is a borgs. Closed caption reads, "Fun will now commence."

nigel farage tweet: The Bank of England is replacing Winston Churchill with a picture of a beaver on our bank notes. This is the definition of woke.

DS9 "In The Pale Moonlight"; Garak addresses an unimpressed Captain Sisko, with caption: It's best not to dwell on such minutiae.
Would love it if my #AuDHD self would not feel so dysregulated after unexpected social interations.
I had to go collect a parcel from a neighbour and now my chest feels super tight and I feel like I am going to faint.
All from a 5 minute conversation, if you're lucky🙃
🌸I wanna suddenly remind you all🌸
Trans rights are human rights.
Trans people have been around for long before the bible was written.
Gender is a wide spectrum of self identification.
These aren't opinions or political ideas. These are objective facts. K Thanks~

Cat sitting again while the parents home is repaired.
It's been 6 years since my cat unexpectedly passed, so it's nice having a wee pal around the house again.
I do, however, feel like I am going mad when she grooms herself; the noise is fucking unbearable.
How did I put up with it before?
