I think “Because I just don’t know enough about it” could apply to a LOT of what Trump says and does.

A deeply cynical take on the samurai genre that really needed more than 70 minutes to tell its multi-layered story.

a man in a cowboy hat has a bloody neck ALT: a man in a cowboy hat has a bloody neck

It gets a bit muddled at times, with storylines that feel half-baked. But it’s all worth it to watch Walton Goggins saunter across the post-apocalyptic wasteland as a mutant bounty hunter.

My ★★★½ review of #Fallout, Season Two (2025):

Tsui Hark, Jet Li, and Rosamund Kwan are absent from the fourth “Once Upon a Time in China” film, which ultimately feels like a silly retread of its predecessors.

The most outlandish aspect of this classic “end of the world” sci-fi flick is the wealthy industrialists who donate their fortunes, no strings attached, for the good of humanity.

Review of “In the Blink of an Eye” by Andrew Stanton (Cultural Diet) - Opus Music, movie, and anime reviews as well as other bits of pop culture coverage by Jason Morehead.

An ambitious and earnest but ultimately vapid film about human connection.

C.C. Gong, Suno, and the Empty Solipsism of AI-Generated Music - Opus AI companies (and their investors) sure do love imagining a world of dehumanized art.

AI companies (and their investors) sure do seem to love imagining a future in which human artistry, creativity, and talent are devalued in favor of ease and convenience (and lots and lots of money).

Still crazy that the president’s lawyer spent two days with Ghislaine Maxwell, she “cleared” him of wrongdoing and was almost immediately transferred to a more pleasant prison and nobody in the administration will explain it and the media acts like two large dots are just impossible to connect.

Sayonara, Evangelion - Opus Hideaki Anno’s “Rebuild of Evangelion” ends the iconic anime series with one final apocalypse.

5 years ago today, the 4th and final #Evangelion film was released in Japanese theaters, bringing Hideaki Anno’s ambitious and convoluted “Rebuild of Evangelion” project to a close.

I’ve been an Evangelion fan for decades and wrote this to try and make sense of it all.

Christians sure do love their acronyms. My ’90s college group once threw a rave (I know, I know) but advertised it as a “Righteous Adventure in Vital Encouragement,” or something like that.

US troops were told war on Iran was ‘all part of God’s divine plan’, watchdog alleges Religious freedom group says 200 troops sent complaints of superiors using extremist Christian rhetoric to justify war

A group of 15 servicemembers say their commander told them: “Trump has been annointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran that will cause Armageddon.” That’s just one of dozens of similar complaints. Holy shit. WHERE IS THIS STORY IN THE U. S. PRESS?

These are the 4 things AI can do well:

•Clean up your email inbox (badly)
•Give my shittiest neighbor (Alan) something to talk about at a party
•Tell a 12 yr old to kill himself
•Incinerate a school at 10:16 AM on a Tuesday

You can see why we need to base our economy around it

III, by Handful of Snowdrops 10 track album

Now here’s a heck of a Bandcamp deal: The *entire* Handful of Snowdrops catalog is currently on sale for less than $17, or 85% off. The Canadian band has released some of the best post-punk and darkwave in recent history, like 2015’s “III.”

Confession time: Curve has always been one of those bands that I know I should be more familiar with than I actually am. After all, “goth-dancefloor shoegaze” is squarely in my wheelhouse. Thus, I’ve taken this article as inspiration to address this particular gap in my musical experience.

Also, I know it’s a cliché at this point, but if Obama had ever responded with “I guess” to a question about American lives being endangered, most of the GOP and all of Fox News would’ve had a collective aneurysm.

We plan for it'

“Asked if Americans should worry about Iran retaliating against Americans on U.S. soil, President Donald Trump responded, ‘I guess.’”
