Storage can be a "pain." I have not tons of cameras .... but I keep them in a glass fronted case and exercise all the shutters and apertures periodically.
Anything "stored" with batteries in can be a disaster.

I see the way you took the elevated first, then scuttled forwards along the same centreline (distant lamp post confirms) - and got the couple on the left appearing past the phone box in frame 2!
