I feel it is good to show (a) you know the topic (from all 15 citations) but also that you bring a bit of history to the table as well...
But it is important to find a good balance. Oneself usually is not responsible for “All of topic A” for sure.

Hm, some middle ground maybe? If I write a paper about topic A, and I have written 3 papers that are on A (or lead/are close to A) and maybe 12 papers from literature related to A.
Then my introduction has 15 citations.
I would select my 3 very carefully and omit 1 if it is not close enough.

Since I expect my students to use it, I used it as well for a while to see how and what it is doing. I usually also get annoyed by its recommendations and how it obstructs the actual code.
Though I did put it on Shift+Tab, so that the default autocomplete on tab still works.

I mean the prior part is usually not done in AI related papers, that is why the reinvented every wheel a few times by now.
For example gradient descent (sure only constant stepsize) on manifolds at least twice, though it exists since the 70s.

But at least that was ignorance and not hallucinated.

Und “wie man es lebt”. Wenn ein wöchentliches Seminar, dass 6 Leute zusammen machen, für jeden 2 SWS zählt, kann man sich auch einige Stunden “hinschummeln”.

Dann haben wir aneinander vorbei geschrieben. Ich meinte auch nicht, dass alle entfristeten Stellen 18 SWS haben.

Aber LfbA haben oft bis zu (je nach Notwendigkeit) 18 SWS. Das meinte ich.

Ich hatte eine entfristete Stelle im Mittelbau (nicht LfbA), Entfristungsgrund: Stundenplan-Planung + 8 SWS Lehre, mit so nem * dran.

Und wie es dann praktisch gelebt wird, ist ja auch oft noch anders.

…klar, nicht für jede/n; mir ist bewusst, dass es viele Faktoren gibt, die neben der Stelle an sich da auch einen Einfluss haben.

Das ist das Einzige was mir zu #ProfessurHaben einfällt: Manchmal kann auch die Absage an eine deutsche Professur und stattdessen dunkle Winter, vereiste Straßen, ein Fahrrad mit Spikes (eine Departmentstruktur, eine sehr gute Verwaltung, etwa 6 SWS,…) eine Wahl sein.

Und für mehr Nordlichter.

Sehr langweilig das Apple-Password dings, aber es tut was es soll.

Ich hab in meinem Lieblings-Passwortmanager auch die Möglichkeit, andere Notizen abzulegen. Sind dann wie die Passwörter sicher gespeichert und geschützt. Da liegt meine PIN und ich komm so von jedem Gerät ran (das meine Biometrie hat).

Bei uns auch, das ist aber auch in Norwegen, da dauert dann die Bearbeitung auch nur etwa 1-2 Wochen.

Es fehlen
- eine KI, die die Anträge schreibt
- eine KI, die die Hausarbeiten schreibt
- eine KI, die dabei die Qualität überwacht
- eine KI für die Projektberichterstattung
...dann...

Bleibt noch übrig, dass wir Kaffee trinken. Oder Tee.
