the reason why it gets past the spam filter is simply because zendesk's email addresses will generally be considered "trustworthy" by email providers and aren't likely to be filtered regardless of content, although i do wonder if this recent spam wave will harm their reputation there.

whoever is responsible is just spamming the web forms of various zendesk customers with spam, filling in someone else's email address as they do so.

on the plus side it seems only the subject line is forwarded to the email address, the message body isn't included.

I went to meet the 'Rockstar 31', the developers who were suddenly fired from their work on GTA 6 for what the studio has described as gross misconduct.

That's not what the workers call it though. They have another couple of words they prefer to use: union busting.

surely a person must've prompted the AI to generate that list. did they not think that "impossible" and "unbeatable" are basically synonyms in this context and that it'd be very weird to have two difficulty levels with those names?

maybe i'm just asking too much for a human to review things.

sometimes a windows update prompts me to "set-up my PC", but i already did that when i installed windows.

of course the whole "set-up" process is just them trying to get you to switch your browser to Edge or whatever.

i'd switch to linux if it was suitable enough for my use case on my desktop.

i do find it funny that their description for the option doesn't directly mention improved readability, since even doing that would be a step too far for them lol

apple just refuses to admit they were wrong with this direction despite all of its flaws. they made so many adjustments to it during the beta of iOS 26 and they're *still* having to make all these changes to it to accommodate for its poor readability.

i've seen a fair few instances of someone opening an issue on an open source project complaining about it not working, only for the problem to be caused by running one of these scripts. it just ends up with someone's time wasted, especially if you don't properly inform them from the start.

keep in mind that scripts like this can cause all sorts of issues with other software if you're not careful. microsoft edge and xbox components in particular are two big ones that cause problems if removed.

also the lack of any sort of reading comprehension when they're told not to backseat is just infuriating, they just have no idea when to just shut up and watch.

let people make mistakes. let them learn things by themselves. otherwise you just take away from the fun for both the streamer and chat.

i don't get the mentality behind those comments. they love the game so much that they'll try their best to put others off from playing it because of some weird superiority complex or something. and then when the streamer bounces off the game they lack the self-awareness to see they're the problem.

going off topic but i did find it interesting that Nintendo left the VR modes in games like Odyssey playable on Switch 2 despite there being no VR kit for it at the time. i was expecting that they might release something VR related for Switch 2 in the future, but didn't expect to be Virtual Boy lol.
