This might be the first time that D.C.’s CFO has been directly protested. Someone sent me a photo of a @freedcproject.bsky.social flyer posted outside his office in the Wilson Building today.

This is a regime of bloodthirsty pedophiles and oligarchs who terrorize, murder, and commit human rights violations at home and abroad every day to advance their grift. The heartlessness of doing this during Ramadan is extra tragic. We the people need to be organized to wield our collective power.

Journalists have critical skills we need! BUT don't blame "people" and "consumers" for this loss. Bezos killed the Post by: deciding not to pay its workers, offending readers by running his personal opinions, & hiring management that hates reporters. "Consumers" aren't the problem; billionaires are.

And to be clear, paying these reporters is so affordable to Bezos that it's like buying a pack of gum for the rest of us. He's just not going to notice that amount of money, and yet he chooses cruelty and chaos over decency.
