I got two shiny spearows going for heracross.. it's quite disheartening to phase on a shiny like that... but hey shiny raticate looks cool

It did actually take me some time to realise this as well

It's finally over... after 4233 eggs and nearly 3 years... I went over triple odds but got it in the end. Never give up. (I'm never doing masuda again on DS lol)

I'm guessing we all have that one hunt that we're so over odds on, but also spend so much time on we can't quit it...

I've been masuda hunting this venipede since 23/04/2023, over 350 hours and now over 4100 eggs...

That's over triple the Masuda odds in this gen, will my suffering ever end??

It's fricken Pokémon day... I got my shiny meloetta on Pokémon day, that's crazy

This save file has been stuck egg hunting venipede for 4 years (over double odds masuda, over 300hrs), glad to see that shinies can appear on it...

And hopefully I'll tackle that hunt some more this year (and finish it)

Seeing @absol.standingintheodds.com video about getting shiny Meloetta made me think about if it's huntable in gen 5, and yes with patched rom and some event injection it is!

I just found out that the reason my last hunt took so long was because I was using CUTE CHARM and apparently in gen 4 CUTE CHARM DECREASES the shiny odds... making it HARDER to get a shiny... AND I DIDNT EVEN GET A FEMALE IN THE END🫠🫠🫠

I'm so cooked, another phase... another spearow after 4256 encounters.

Will I ever get my aipom/heracross? (Either one will do)

And hey at least i got 2 IPS systems that I didnt mess up...

What a sucky day. I ripped the ribbon cable of the IPS screen for this Rei GBA Sp and after that I ripped the sticker of the sakura GBC. But hey they still look cool

Sigh after 34.589 encounters (that's over 4 times odds) i got a spearow out of headbutting.

But I'm only going for gen 2 Pokémon on my badge quest (at least in johto) So the hunt continues...

At least this phase is over, I hope it won't take that long to get either heracross or aipom

This HRT stuff sounds good. I'll take a bucket and hope it goes like that for me lol

My god the english Pokémon logo is so ugly, the Japanese games look much nicer...

On further inspection it seems only the dex is scrambled, wild encounters and trainers aren't randomised? I guess the team couldve been traded over then? I'm so confused

The randomiser save file was in the middle of the elite 4 but the trainers weren't random so i guess i finished what this Japanese person didn't

Bought from japan for the first time!! Lots of games and two GBAs to reshell. The red one is in a horrid condition but apparently it's a gundam special edition?

I'm a little concerned about the sapphire, it seems to be randomised? Idk if I can fix that or will have to use FlashGBX to change the rom

It took 5 phases, got 1 male shiny treecko and 3 uncatchable poochs.

I got a shiny treecko on my Ruby file after 3058 encounters! I think i'm gonna keep going for a female one though.
