Americans haven't experienced true war on their own soil in hundreds of years and that's half the reason most of the idiots have no problem with us starting wars elsewhere in the world. They have no empathy or true understanding of the tragedy of war. It's nothing more than something on the tv.

I think this does a great job of summing up why I like living in the midwest/rustbelt, despite not being a huge fan of the winters.
