Can't wait to see it! Is this the one with the film noir setting that we got a sneak peak of during last year's anniversary stream?

Happy Mario Day! I made a Mario thingy last year for #LudumDare and I'm still very proud of it.

Absolutely my favorite #Pokemon sprite right now
My fantasy procedural, MAGIC AND MELODIES, has relocated from the Supernatural Bureau of Investigations to The Originals Bureau.
Excited to be back on The Stunt List!
She gets it
move slow and repair things
Yeah, no, it's fine, like I just spent a week working on controller input prompts and tutorials for my game. Anyways, according to Pokemon, this is all I needed to do...
A pixel art rendition of Link's House from the beginning of Ocarina of Time. The perspective is similar to a diorama or an isometric view. Link is sleeping in his bed with Navi floating next to him. Saria and her fairy are waiting at the base of the tree that Link lives in.
Happy Zelda 40th anniversary!

In anticipation of Hexx's playtesting later this year, I wanted to make it easy for people to give feedback. So you can press spacebar to send me an email + screenshot without needing to leave the game.

Next to @vaatividya.com no less, that's so awesome!
Did you do the sprite work? I'm curious to know how working with the 4(?) color-per-sprite limitation was.
It worked great in an emulator. Had trouble getting the 'A' button to work in the browser. I didn't have a Player 2 to compete against so my victory was swift and absolute! It would have been cool to have some kind of single player mode, but of course I understand the time constraints of a jam.
Yo, congrats! Finishing a game jam is no small feat. (And doing an actual NES game is like doing it on hard mode, I cant even imagine ๐ฌ). I'll check it out tomorrow!
Wild - if someone at work ever told me "hey I can't think of any new features this (tool/app/script/plugin) needs, it's perfect," I'd consider it the best piece of software I'd ever written.
I spent a decent part of my day today reducing my build time from ~6s to 2.7s.
In my case it was just boring texture format optimizations, but holy cow it's a night-and-day difference.
He is better at expressing my own feelings then I am.

300 characters is too few to fully express my feelings on this so I'll just say:
Thank you so much for the work that you put into this video (both the first and second half). Your championing of hope in the face of nihilism/defeatism is so so important, and something that I wish we all had more of.
Let's do this.

The disease we have in this country right now is that we believe our sense of purpose is to make money.
No. You make money as a reward for doing something with purpose. Like running a hotel, or running a restaurant, or selling products.
You forget what you're in the business to do and you'll fail.
I can't tell you how glad I am to see that the sentiment around AI has clearly turned against it. A long time ago I felt like the only viable hope for pushback here is a cultural one, and it's actually happening, it's working โค๏ธ
In my bubbles (animation, film, tech) there's still a ton of people hyping it up. It gets discouraging and lonely at times to be one of the few pushing back.
Thanks for sharing some positive news. We all gotta keep fighting the good fight!
That's crazy, I absolutely LOVE playtesting and consider it a privilege when I can conduct it. Can't imagine doing any successful software project (games or otherwise) without gathering frequent user feedback.
Big Wins for Animation Workers! DWA Remote Workers, Netflix Feature and Ted Show Production workers all won their NLRB elections to unionize with TAG. Let's celebrate and wish them success as they begin to bargain!
Reminded myself Iโm an artist, and appeasing social media algorithms for eyes on your work is pointless if itโs not leading you to draw things you actually care about. I only care if people see my art so they can experience it, and I donโt need to spend my energy on elaborate strategies for that
I've started off 2026 with 2 days of #gamedev in a row! Feeling pretty optimistic about getting Hexx finished this year.
If you use generative AI to "explore ideas" you are mentally weaker than even the smallest child. If you feel that you need generative AI to "structure your thoughts" you lack the confidence of an 8 year old. If you feel shame about your diminished inner world, you should. You're bad at daydreaming

Copilot was the straw that broke my back. I installed Mint to dip my toes in the water and then oops! 8 months went by. Shocked at how good Linux is as a daily driver nowadays! Now I only boot Windows to build my game's EXE. After seeing this (and similar) articles I'm so glad I switched when I did.
Thanks for letting me know! I didn't realize I had that setting on ๐ฌ. DMs should now be open!
