You know, I’m really starting to wonder if it’s Bluesky that’s in its own information bubble

To me it’s that LLMs are deterministic. The temperature setting just creates the illusion that they’re not
“Here’s a free year of identity protection service from a company that we probably sold your information to sometime in the past!”
“Why don’t you think that the president using dead American soldiers to sell his merch is newsworthy?” is a decent follow up
The YouTube algorithm decided that I needed to see the @tftcproject.bsky.social 1.4 trailer which got me to dig up my old copy of X-Wing Alliance. If you ever wished that one of the best Star Wars games ever made got a modern graphics and control overhaul then you're in luck. Runs and plays great
usually if you ask experts why an empire fell they’ll say it’s nuanced and multifaceted, so i think it’s kind of cool that with America future historians will get to just say like “oh they took the idiot train to moronsville”
Regular gas is over $5 a gallon in San Diego. One reason gas is expensive here is because we’re constrained geographically. That makes our market sensitive to price changes. If we’re up a dollar a gallon here then elsewhere isn’t too far behind
As someone who wasted a bunch of time on the Conversatron back in the early 2000s I approve
A book with the title “FAT LEONARD” and subtitled “HOW ONE MAN BRIBED, BILKED, and SEDUCED THE U.S. NAVY” by Craig Whitlock. A book with the title “FAT LEONARD” and subtitled “HOW ONE MAN BRIBED, BILKED, and SEDUCED THE U.S. NAVY” by Craig Whitlock. Leonard is in silhouette against a blue background with a silhouette of a Thomaston class LSD (Landing Ship Dock, not the drug) on his head as a crown.
Next train read is Fat Leonard by Craig Whitlock. Living in San Diego I’m familiar with the story since a lot of the flag officers he bribed were based here
What a fun book! A spaceship haunted by all the monsters tries to break its curse with the help of other monsters and adorable robots. You’ll care about the characters and the jokes land. Another W for @mystgalaxybooks.bsky.social staff picks and, of course, @barbaratruelove.bsky.social
I’d imagine it’s the same reasons they had in favor of Brexit
The John Wick surrounded by guns meme. Twenty men surround John Wick and are aiming guns at his head
“Starfleet Academy is just plain fun” is my Star Trek opinion that’ll get this kind of reaction from Bluesky
Good thing AI data centers run on electricity instead of oil or gas or this could be worrying
Surely Musk has suggested he could build a tunnel under Saudi Arabia by now
The irony of MAGA as an ideology making PhD level study of gender in politics and society viable and important for the next century is a (very thin) silver lining
Should it have been “I see your little petrified skull labeled and resting on a shelf somewhere?”
Apropos to what you were saying a couple of days ago, gas jumping up by a dollar or so a gallon may be an impeachable offense
If you see this, we IMPLORE you to post a picture from whatever device you're using without explanation.
My info is a little out of date but if he has questions about what to expect as a reservist who gets called up to active duty I’m around
I know the smart thing to do is block and move on but now I really want to respond to one of these with “We got a burn notice on you. You’re blacklisted”
Aftermath for Enterprise™
Yep, that was the issue. Thanks again!
Ah, that's the part I missed. I didn't catch that the full XWAU install was the 1.0 version. Thanks!
@tftcproject.bsky.social When I try to install both TFTC-C and TFTC-R 1.4 I get an error that FlightModels\Skins\GolanThree\Default_0.zip can't be found. I grabbed the asset on the Models Resource, renamed the file and the install completed
I’m going to be seeing screenshots of this post for a looong time
The time for the military to stand up to the Trump administration was months ago when it was issuing illegal orders to shoot at stranded survivors. The people who could have stood up were the same flag officers and senior enlisted that were congratulated for not applauding at Hagseth’s big meeting
I wonder how sustainable that is. If we’re still at early stage enshitification in this market then what happens when all these companies start seeing the real compute costs?
Today the most grace I can show for people claiming they didn’t vote for this is to demand a promise from them to never vote again
