Ah π
I just saw that I got the initial new password via mail. Oh well.

Eurosky feels a little snappier, but maybe that's just the reduced latency from having the first hop that much closer.
Migrated this account to @eurosky.social too!
I had to resend the first verification email and had to reset my password afterwards, but otherwise smooth. Sending the backup rotation key via email is a bit π€
I get it, but now I have to protect or delete that mail.
Can't find it (as usual).
I saw some discussion about this on Mastodon recently too (from decently notable people iirc). I'll see if I can find it and send you an email so you can link up if you'd like.
The code in this project is rather off-beat, so LLMs (free tier) don't seem to find many issues anymore and `cargo clippy --fix` breaks it in five places, then reverts. (Yes, I'll look into filing bug reports. It's mostly about certain lints erroneously ignoring precluding implicit behaviour.)
Not natively. Maybe you could use the headers it adds, but I suspect it would need some tweaks to the software itself.
Knockout is FOSS (AGPLv3), but you'd likely have to hack around a bit to adapt it to your needs and swap out the branding/subforums.
Very smooth UX as far as "classic" BB-style forums go, though, and quite full-featured.
Anubis is legit, I think the only caveat is that you have to pay to hide the mascot. (May also affect your visibility on search engines, not sure.)
Image of a person sitting next to a bookshelf with their zines Welcome! Enter your email address and we'll send you a link to download all of the zines that you've ordered in the past.
Over the years I've been hearing from folks that it's hard to remember which zines you've bought
So we built a new library website where you can see & download all your zines!
library.wizardzines.com
Not sure this counts, but I think at some point you wrote about how Thelemite works ('glitch' something?) and that's been one of few major inspirations in my approach to systems programming.
I eventually even got to apply that in gamedev a little bit π
so the cars in #heartrender used to take eris's actual weight into account for its physics, as she is physically _inside_ the car while driving
i Fixed it now β€οΈ

New RPG Maker plugin: Dynamic Faces
This plugin lets you animate and compose Faces ("Show Text" and in menus) using declarative rules and a Control Character.
A simple use is visual equipment with any number of layers, but beyond that, rules can also toggle each other and apply animated modifiers.
I have put together a short video that might help you switch from Windows to Linux as a game developer.
Check it out and send it to fellow gamedevs!
I'm not a youtuber so I hope I'm making sense here. Let me know if you have any questions or need help! Cheers!

I can't tell you how proud I am of the work i've had the opportunity to do on Descent of Lunaris - what you've seen already and the enormous amount of stuff you haven't yet. Please wishlist and sign up for our playtest!
Today is the 10th anniversary of this gif of me showing how to make games on TV.
McPixel Trilogy costs literal pennies, will work on your mom's PC and it's solid 10 hours of uninterrupted fun!
You can punch a t-rex into outer space, suplex a granny, pee on a dog and MORE.

Written vs. spoken German strikes againβ¦
Spoken German isn't usually taught formally very much. I'm biased of course, but I think it's worth learning since it has some particularly fun features that aren't present in most other languages.
The McPixel Trilogy is literal pennies right now! Grab it!
10+ hours total of insane humour.

The third update fixes the same delayed flicker bug as in Dynamic Pictures, but in Dynamic Characters the condition to trigger it is normally unreachable.
One case where it could occur is with Event spawner plugins that cause a `Sprite_Event` to (immediately) be reused with a distinct `Game_Event`.
The second one is less serious, in that if it crashes, it appears to do so consistently, but the update can also prevent a graphical glitch in some specific cases, so I still recommend it.
None of these updates should have otherwise noticeable effects, as usual.
Right, I should announce these updates to three of my #RPGMaker plugins here too:
- tamschi.itch.io/ontouch/devl...
- tamschi.itch.io/dynamic-pict...
- tamschi.itch.io/dynamic-char...
The first one is a tricky-to-hit edge case crash, so please update OnTouch even if there don't seem to be issues.
Descent of Lunaris is a love letter to classic dungeon crawlers.
Inspired by Wizardry and Shin Megami Tensei.
Old-school systems. New ideas.

Godrays (Probably way too strong π€)
Flowers, Tents and animated cloud texture
i dont do mecha often cause they're annoying to animate but mech design is still pretty fun
That's likely the final one of that particular feature, to be honest.
The only thing that from my perspective really makes sense to add would be a proper JS API.
I *may*, way down the line, do a combined "___ Variables and Switches" plugin, but the only advantage there would be `this` in JS ones.
Third one done: JS Variables and Switches
Unlike the VisuMZ ones, these can have setters, and it also patches `Game_Interpreter.prototype.operateVariable` to avoid spurious reads. Saving the game will snapshot all of them, though.
I won't make announcements for individual sketch plugins, since that would get spammy fast (I uploaded two today, might make a third), but I'll make monthly summary posts for those added since the previous one.
I can try to nudge you directly if I know more specifically what you're looking for.
I'm not seeing it on Itch yet either. I'll try to ask them to speed it up alongside my other ticket. (Was a bit too busy these past few days, sorry.)
The best ways to see new plugins are to follow me on Itch or pick the notification role(s) on Discord, but I'll try to post on this account too.
I had some time to pass yesterday, so I implemented it.
These don't trigger refreshes, though that shouldn't be noticeable.
A request: Since my plugins are subtle, I usually don't get to market them very effectively. You'd help me greatly if you mentioned your experience to other creators you know.
