I think that’s mostly true.
Honestly I don’t think it has much to do with relationships (or lack thereof) with women. It’s about their inability to have deep relationships with other men. We all need community, and too many men simply don’t have deep relationships outside of their partner.
The classes on the laws of land warfare, including role-play of cases where you are given illegal orders and what to do when that happens… almost the very first thing we did in basic training. If I understood this as an E1, it’s hard for me to imagine how the entire chain of command failed here
If you look at the 2020 elections, counties in Georgia with military bases voted overwhelmingly for Biden. Less so in 2024. I’m not sure about other states.
The irony of this article is that the voting record of Republicans versus Democrats on veterans issues is incredibly clear. Over and over again, the Republican Party has voted against the VA and veterans benefits. Meanwhile, Biden oversaw the biggest expansion of veterans benefits in history.

The thing that makes me the sickest is that these folks don’t even have a shred of compassion. It’s one thing to enforce laws and rules. It’s another to do it gleefully and celebrate the suffering of someone born into poverty and desperation

There are a ton of people in this thread who have decided without evidence that the veteran in question voted for Trump and therefore somehow deserves what he got. How the hell do you know who he voted for? When you celebrate harm to others you are no different than MAGA folks who do the same
