A very weighty piece of old lumber, engraved with the number 50. It's sitting in front of the stone wall of my airbnb which is the first floor (walkout basement?) of a 19th century building in the Over-the-Rhine neighborhood of Cincinnati.

Cincy Shakes does a very cool thing for ensemble members to commemorate when a milestone number of shows with the company is reached: an engraved piece of the same reclaimed wood used throughout the theatre.

Day so far:

Cyc burnout, cut self on fixture while fixing.
Automated light: errors on all parameters.
Fun with filling a ton of last minute work calls.

(Went up to the automated light to find it basically saying "I don't wanna!" Me too, buddy. Me too.)

Here is the 1000 amp jumpstarter and its tiny charging cable sitting on top of the feeder cables providing (up to) 400 amps to part of the lighting system.

In case you were wondering why it hurts my brain.

I know that this works. I understand how and why this works. But the visual of this tiny cable being what charges the thing that will (potentially) output 1000 amps just hurts my brain.

Problem: 5kw fresnel with scroller slowly drops over time, despite re-tightening.
