I'd put bets in on Reprise.
Perfect!
I mean, if they're bringing in Wart, Birdo, and Mouser, alongside Yoshi, Rosalina, and Bowser Jr., and there's yet to be a single Daisy reference found, then where in the world is she?
Daisy is a lock for post-credits, I bet.
Super Mario Bros. 2 representation!
Very nice!

Sylver holding a sealed copy of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag for Wii U. The photo is from 2014.
Also yes, I did in fact play Black Flag on the Wii U.
My favorite AC is coming back.
Yes, it was the new worst-kept secret in gaming.
Cautiously excited though.
alrighty, phone's dying so it's charging time + back to the day job
Never really been fond of the adoption of "triple-I", but it's more of an effect of existing bias when it comes to what people expect from indie.
"AAA-level indie" shouldn't really sound like an oxymoron, but I know some that see it solely on the merits of game quality, not studio structure.
It's likely due to how broad the "indie game" label has become, and also how you can kinda group it in the sense of who participates in that ecosystem: independent developers, dedicated indie publishers/boutique brands, the "solo indie dev with a dream", and everything else in between.
Yeah, there's a lot that they'd need to do to rebuild that sort of "prestige" single-player brand that they sorta discarded these past few years.
I didn't even think about the SE timed exclusivity bit, bur considering how they're throwing their weight behind Nintendo, it probably stung a bit.
Lou on brand is always a riot π€£
Thank you so much! I really wanna load up more stuff on it ASAP, so definitely stay tuned. ππΎ
Prestige indie titles?
hate when I get gleefully chatty on here, and then I remember I have a blog for the purpose for being gleefully chatty about all sorts of stuff
it's one of the things that social media's ruined for me that I'm genuinely trying to unfuck
So yes, in short, I am still blaming Jim Ryan for this.
they said it's cool if your PC is an Xbox now, but we'll be damned if it becomes a PlayStation π€£
I got recommended this video recently via YouTube, and it truly is a great watch - even as someone who isn't as in tune with Resident Evil (despite owning the whole Steam catalog except 9), but definitely remembered The Mercenaries 3D on 3DS!
I can't also help but be a bit salty now that Housemarque will be fully exclusive since that was my worry after Sony grabbed them up, and Returnal was the only PlayStation PC port I supported wholeheartedly.
But I'm not buying a PS5 for Saros, that's not the play for me.
Yeah, they still do have a place in the PS ecosystem, but I'm still so cynical because they really had Bluepoint wasting time on a God of War live-service title (because we need that?), and they were left twiddling their thumbs until it was decided their services were no longer needed.
I'm just thinking that the vibrations since Xbox's implosion has forced Sony to reconsider the PlayStation brand and what it stands for, and if it means going back to being a more exclusives-driven powerhouse, then that's how it'll be.
Especially after Jim Ryan's live service gamble flopped.
What I wonder now is what good Nixxes will be for since they're usually the ones doing PC remasters, and considering they just shitcanned their remake factory, Bluepoint Games?
I don't see what's in their future besides supporting the MP games being ported, and taking Bluepoint's place.
