This, but adding: there is no such thing as an agent they actually trust. The Kremlin doesn't trust ITSELF and is conspiracy maddened from top to bottom. This is why Elon, Thiel don't get more power: they'll betray Russia. Could be Trump betrayed Epstein and got his rival killed. Don't expect trust.
I guess Cenk-ism really does stick with ya. You would think these people would keep some of their extended network free to have plausible deniability, but I guess we all gotta rally behind the reich now. Or, how about NOT.
It's a perfectly consistent message, and may well be a worthy one. A message isn't a song, though, and messages aren't for everybody.
All of my this. He might even be a recovery guy the way I've been for years, pointedly not being a fundie goon, and it still doesn't make for a stronger song. The old remix was all contrasts and tensions in candy colors, including its video. I'm happy for him but it's much weaker art.
Cenk is a helpful model to study here. He takes the engagement and tone of Alex Jones, and combines it with as much venom as possible against Democrats, in a horseshoe kinda way. Sometimes these guys carry a payload, and it's more calculated than it looks. Like Tim Pool pushing civil war. Purposeful
Oh my God, I want one :D :D :D
I trust Emma a little more than, say, Cenk. But that's a brutal thing to say. Also sucks that in the wikipedia it just up and says 'Emma Vigeland, formerly a contributor for The Young Turks'. WELL ALL RIGHTY THEN. Funny how that is. And now she goes full Plattner? Well, that's unfortunate.
Or he gets in and it turns out the alt-right tatted guy is what he actually was after all. Those sorts of people have been known to lie to win: consider Trump, who has been known to lie.
Yes, basically. If he is an op, then nothing he says is reliable because he's actually there to own the pivot and wreck all our stuff. Yes, the risk is that he's lying on purpose and actually a crypto alt-righter, complete with tats. Those will lie to win.
Oh, no, really? I knew the Young Turks were hopelessly compromised and I side-eyed Emma Vigeland from time to time, but I thought Sam Seder was real.
I think he's a Newsom, a Tim Pool: he is actually playing for the other team and they are using their social media control to try and own the pivot. It's all about owning the pivot, seizing control of the obvious and inevitable backlash to make it so nothing changes.
Mortality.
And with or without that, a literal 0.1% tax on all wealth would do so much you can't even imagine. A millionaire would pay a thousand and keep 999 thousand, each year, if he otherwise did nothing. Let it be universal. I bet I could cope if it was a universal wealth tax, ALL property etc.
I am spectacularly uninterested in this, and only interested in whether the guy is hanging out a lot with Steve Bannon, Benny Johnson, Vladimir Putin etc etc. Has he invited them on his podcast, if he has one?
Based on the experiments I've done (yeah I know it's not my field) you could do a 0.1% wealth tax over a million and it would be meaningful. It is funny and horrible how little wealth taxes can be and still be meaningful.
Shame on you, you glorious, glorious bastard
In fairness the intent from American leadership was to validate the Russian worldview for the past 40 years, and validating the Iranian government's worldview was probably just an accident.
on dialup tone
That's entirely fair. When I was growing up I remember seeing that in paperback. I kinda miss that usenet/telnet vibe but the thing is, it's never gone away, it's just that that kid will never see it where he's heading. It's in little places
Always fun to check back in over there. I'm #580
My primary email address might be older than him too
When run into the (small) tube amp, it's awful, fails to work. But then so did the same circuit on another guitar, and they're both fine on a tiny battery amp (or DI). So it's going into the preamp tube that spoils the Pentatone switch. β¦and I'd been meaning to build an Airwindows preamp/boost ;)
Got pickguard swap between two guitars and I think it made both of them better, changed strings on three guitars, and figured out a thing which I thought was 'one of the pickguards has busted switch on it' that I'd have to fix. This has to do with a Pentatone circuit I have on all the humbucker gtsβ¦
Guitars are vampires: they have to draw blood now and then with those tiny skinny strings for the high notes, or they turn to dust :)
Fussing with guitars again. I'm set up to be able to do a clean Strat sound out of a real amp and mic it in a good way, but the guitar with a stop tailpiece and better tone has Firebird pickups in it. Swapping pickguard for one w. Fralin strat pickups, in a guitar with a tremolo. I think that'll do.
What the TECHNICOLOR fuck.
and some perfectly red cows. So I hear.
Shoveling and firewood-hauling: nice thing about March, by now the snow is FLINGING itself off my car already. Just gotta clear away areas of window and paint and the car will sweat the rest off by noon most likely :)
The fact that FETTERMAN can legitimately dunk on this man is all the warning anyone could need
