Can't lie, it's tough in such a toxic environment. We are terrorized daily by incompetent leaders. Many of us aren't allowed to do our jobs. Standing up to DOGE gets us marched out of the building.
Yet around 75-80% of us remain, and here's why.
(1/4) Adding my voice to that of my fellow #AltGov folks in sharing #WhyWeStay. The Coast Guard has a diverse set of missions - I joined because I wanted to keep people safe, and my work allows me to do so every day. There may be times of stress and confusion, but I know my work matters.
Why I stay. Because I work in the department that is making the rich folks/businesses pay their fair share. And I go after tax evaders that owe over 1 million in taxes.
