BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Supreme Court strikes down Trumpβs tariffs, siding with Oregon
βToday, the Supreme Court made it clear that no President gets to levy taxes on Americans disguised as tariffs. At a time when we should all be working together to do everything in our power to keep the cost of living down for working families, the President tried to sidestep Congress to increase prices on groceries, utilities, and basic everyday necessities.β
BREAKING NEWS: The U.S. Supreme Court just struck down the presidentβs unlawful tariffs under IEEPA, siding with Oregon and our multistate coalition.

Most consumer loans are capped at 36% interest, but predatory lenders exploited loopholes to inflate rates as high as 160% on more than 22,000 loans. HB 4116 would ensure stronger consumer protections and greater financial security for communities across the state. #orpol #orleg

The racist video of the Obamas shared by Trump is unacceptable any way you square it. It doesnβt matter what lies or justification the White House will come up with to try to smooth it over. Itβs plainly indicative of the racist rot overtaking this administration.

WATCH OUT FOR DMV TEXT SCAMS: Tips to avoid "unpaid toll" text phishing scams
Recognize this scam:
- These scam texts are sent from an unknown phone number and typically start with βEvasion Notice for Oregon Traffic Courtβ or βFinal Notice β Toll Violation (Oregon).
- Messages claim you have an unpaid traffic fine or toll balance and demand payment by a certain date to avoid enforcement actions and penalties.
- Texts may cite a phony Oregon State Administrative Code and urge you to click on a fraudulent URL that may seem valid because it includes ODOT, DMV or oregon.gov.
Screenshot of phishing text via the Oregon Department of Transportation. Text begins with "URGENT TOLL NOTICE."
If you get a text message saying you have unpaid tolls or traffic fines, it may be a scam.
The Oregon Department of Transportation is warning about a phishing scam going around, where unsolicited text messages pretend to be the Oregon DMV or Oregon Dept. of Transportation.

Private companies like Avelo Airlines are profiting off deportation flights that tear families apart and harm our communities.
That is not who we are in Oregon.
Oregonians are the customer. We get to choose where our dollars go.

That is not public safety.
It is a dangerous abuse of power by a federal agency operating without accountability.
