BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Supreme Court strikes down Trump’s tariffs, siding with Oregon

“Today, the Supreme Court made it clear that no President gets to levy taxes on Americans disguised as tariffs. At a time when we should all be working together to do everything in our power to keep the cost of living down for working families, the President tried to sidestep Congress to increase prices on groceries, utilities, and basic everyday necessities.”

House Democrats just passed HB 4114, sending a clear message: if you're operate in Oregon, you follow Oregon’s rules. Oregon is standing up for its communities and for the Constitution. #orleg #orpol

Most consumer loans are capped at 36% interest, but predatory lenders exploited loopholes to inflate rates as high as 160% on more than 22,000 loans. HB 4116 would ensure stronger consumer protections and greater financial security for communities across the state. #orpol #orleg

WATCH OUT FOR DMV TEXT SCAMS: Tips to avoid "unpaid toll" text phishing scams

Recognize this scam: - These scam texts are sent from an unknown phone number and typically start with “Evasion Notice for Oregon Traffic Court” or “Final Notice – Toll Violation (Oregon). - Messages claim you have an unpaid traffic fine or toll balance and demand payment by a certain date to avoid enforcement actions and penalties. - Texts may cite a phony Oregon State Administrative Code and urge you to click on a fraudulent URL that may seem valid because it includes ODOT, DMV or oregon.gov.

Gresham family to leave Texas detention facility, Rep. Dexter announces The Crespo-Gonzalez family, including 7-year-old Diana, has spent three weeks in federal detention after being apprehended outside a Portland hospital.

U.S. Rep. Maxine Dexter said in a statement Friday afternoon that she is “escorting” the Crespo-Gonzalez family home to Oregon. The family of three had been apprehended seeking medical attention for 7-year-old Diana.
