It's really good if you use it in a specific path and do the things right. The issue is it allows you to do everything wrong.

Coming from the python ecosystem. Why, just why, is the js/ts ecosystem such a mess ? And there is no objectively good solution ? Like in python you have config for everything in your pyproject.toml. Here you need 20 config files and they all need to be at the root.
