The problem with this speech is that to strike a realistic chord with what voters feel, it would have to acknowledge continuing problems. But Trump's only self-related tone is triumphant and braggartly.
The problem with this speech, beyond all the lies and distortions and ridiculosity, is that it celebrates economic success at a time most people don't feel it.
I don't see this loud, frantic, fact-distorting speech working with anyone beyond Trump's low-information MAGA base.
Do they give a Nobel prize for the world leader most easiest manipulated by flattery?
