oh "Β£330 million, seven-year NHS Federated Data Platform contract" according to google. Well I'm sure that's going to be worth it.

This government want tech to save the NHS, but the tender process and all the infra is so fucked up, all the hardest work ends up on the companies least able to bear it, with the smallest budgets, dealing with the hardest patients to reach.
They gave how much to palantir and still don't know this?
Next I suppose I have to evaluate every question on the survey and point out the gaps, and who falls through them.
"How the NHS is quietly failing Manchester's poorest" something something...
I suppose the interactive map would do a better job of demonstrating this if you're interested [wip]. bobdavies.co.uk/nhs-complain...
In deprived areas, the gap between patient-survey score (% good overall) and GP google reviews rating is greater: deprived practices don't know their patients are having more problems because the patient survey isn't catching poverty-related quality/delivery issues (like access).
Exactly. The questions on it are very leading too. Several questions where the only viable answer misrepresents the problem.
It's even more stark adjusted for registered patients (as a population proxy).
Compare Manchester's healthcare satisfaction by GP if you ask the patient survey (looks all nice and green and healthy, partly due to some pretty weak questions), vs if you ask google reviews.
The main reason I built it is to find episodes where people have guested... So like, here's my Bob Mortimer page, that also provides an RSS (for your regular podcast app) for Bob Mortimer episodes from a whole bunch of other podcasts.

Felt like making a quick fun project, so I put together a site for browsing and playing all my favourite podcasts. It's better than 98% of podcast apps/sites, and is entirely hosted on github pages/actions.
Install it to use media controls and offline/background play.

We argue that these collabs normalize close relationships w/Big-Tech, setting them up to be key actors in governance who provide tech solutions to important social βproblemsβ.
Will have some time to come back to BBB this month, so I'm starting to think about what this project is for: betterbritain.org.uk/posts/2026-0...
