Once in the environment, microplastics are nearly impossible to remove. That's why prevention is key.
Microplastics are everywhere. In our oceans, air, & even our bodies.
We estimate that approximately 0.75-2 million tonnes of microplastics were unintentionally released into the EU environment, in 2022. This constitutes a 7-9% increase since 2019.
But where do they come from?
