Itโs clear weโre deep in the throes of a digital temperance movement akin to the 1910s (which led to the disaster of Prohibition). Adult furry galleries being raked out of Telegram is a sign we need to freely publish our stuff in a much more mission driven way.

This effect seems to be similar to how one's physical workspace & tools can alter one's mindset and approach to starting or completing works. Personally tend to do warmups traditionally and swap between programs more often than most to avoid becoming too dependent on any one of them.

The author of the visualization describes it as being a visualization of who is likely to follow whom based on who they follow and who follows them. If you go looking for reasons that you are "not enough" you will find them; instead, understand that a variety of people are interested in your work!

Wouldn't this just mean that you have a more equal likelihood of following and being followed by people from the nearby clusters, rather than exclusively by only one kind of follower (which would centralize you in only one cluster?)

It's a personal ice breaker request prompt used when talking with people when out and about, artist or otherwise. Time has revealed that this prompt gets non artists to engage with drawing without pressure and is interesting for artists. Children love it too. Use it whenever you like!

This feeling endures for a lot of tropes common in ero art! Even overuse of the term "lewd" for salacious material is eye rolling. Feels like an inability to communicate with sincerity!

No reason it couldn't -- more than anything it's shorthand that one can use in many situations where you want to approximately center something, text or not. It's almost like putting a target on something, and you can do whatever comes to mind with it!

Practical instructions on how to draw an ellipse with a string, pins and L square, via ThisisCarpentry.com. Each written instruction includes a diagram showing what the process looks like at each step. The diagram is being used as an example of why one can use a Diamond shape to quickly center written text in an elliptical speech bubble.
Written steps are as follows:
Step 1: Using a straight edge, draw the desired length of the ellipse's Major Axis.
Step 2: Use a square to draw the Minor Axis. It should be perpendicular to the Major Axis and pass through the center point.
Step 3: Locate focal points 1 and 2 by using half the length of the Major Axis to measure from point C back to the Major Axis.
Step 4: Set pins (nails/screws) at points: 1, 2, and C. Then tightly stretch a string around the three points and tie the ends together.
Step 5: Keeping the string's length set, remove the pin from point C and use the string as a guide to draw the ellipse.
The diamond shape is shorthand for the focus points of an ellipse, and is related to how one would draw such an ellipse with a compass and string! It was amazing to learn about it.

A quick and sloppy lettering demonstration showcasing a quick way to center hand-written text with a diamond shape. Text reads: "Using a diamond shape is helpful for centering one's hand-drawn text! They're great when other tools are unavailable!"
When drawing on paper or with rudimentary tools, a quick diamond shape is a good way to center text that needs to fit inside an elliptical shape at the very least. A shame Sai2 lacks the tools to do it more easily than that, though.

3D Reference Tool | by Anatomy For Sculptors ยฎ
Explore our 3D Reference tool extensive library of 3D models, images, and videos! A useful and convenient way to always have the right reference.
The job of an artist as far as Anatomy study goes is to build one of these รcorchรฉ figures in their mind and memorize what sliders to slide to build whomever they want.
ref.anatomy4sculptors.com
All discussion of anatomical canons exists to help transmit that information from one artist to another.

There are of course knock-on effects caused by the larger culture such canons are built in, but they are not much more than mnemonic systems that can and should be modified as one sees fit!

Personally find it easiest to regard anatomical canons as systems of building a little guy in one's visual library to stretch & squash as needed more than a commentary on the correctness of anyone's body. With a baseline to work with, it's much easier to record the specifics of any subject.

Isn't eraser considered a toggled modifier to a brush in Krita rather than a separate preset? Would that account for it not being on the list?

By this, do you mean setting up rotation by an arbitrary amount with a modifier key + a click and drag, or do you mean rotating by a given amount (say 15ยฐ) when pressing a shortcut key?
(For reference, the Krita default keys for the latter is CTRL + [ to rotate left and CTRL + ] to rotate right)?

Thank you for your response -- the closest thing that Krita can do so far is swap between the last preset used and one's current tool ("/" key by default, listed as "Switch to Previous Preset") but that's not the same level of convenience as described.

Out of curiosity, what are you referring to when you describe hotswapping support? Currently trying to learn Krita and comparing it to CSP and trying to learn from the pain points of others.

The desire to fix the personal Thinkpad of this vintage increases yet again. Wonder if it is even possible to acquire a replacement screen/digitizer for a machine like this without breaking the bank? It was a nice, reliable machine in its day...

Final Fantasy IV DS and Contra 4 are big favorites. Honorable mention goes to Nostalgia & that one weird Wizard of Oz game on there, though those are more curiosities than classics. The Etrian Oddysey games were pretty neat as well... Can be hard to remember once the KORG apps came out on DS/3DS...

As others have said, FFV makes pretty good use of them. All said, Octopath Traveler as a series ends up solving a lot of the problems of FF games where spells and equipment go obsolete by at least having them be useful for breaking enemies (and thus denying them the chance to act on your party)!

Photo of a Kotobukiya white hand model loosely holding a stylus with a tripod grip. The black computer stylus is pierced through a thumb length seedless green grape, which is dripping slightly out of the exit hole.
Used to use large, seedless grapes as a teaching tool to help beginner artists learn to assume and ease the tightness of their tripod grip. The idea was to use the tool without crushing the grape, and the visual was effective even as just a memory aid!
