Coffee, technology with a focus on SAP, craft beer and whisky. Usually in that order for best results. Likes taking nature photos far more than editing them. πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡¦πŸ‡ΊπŸ‡ΈπŸ‡¬

I hadn’t heard of this before, but it also resonates as someone who is fond of the β€œT-shaped people” concept.

Lovely arrangement! I wish you luck that the demand on your time and expertise will also reduce, and you don’t end up with 3x12 hour work days!

Round 2 tonight with the second half of the fillet. Higher initial oven temps and a shorter baking time meant the exterior of the fillet didn’t overcook. I preferred this.

Sounds great! Every time I’ve had goat, it was lovely! Great to see it’s becoming more widely available in Australia!

Haha, you’re not the first person to ask :-) But it’s a bit of a festive dish for me and I’ve been trying to improve my results cooking it.

Yeah, it was a bit OTT… I now know why recipes call for button mushrooms rather than portobellos which I used.

Bit of a mammoth prep, but the home-made Beef Wellington was worth it in the end. Merry Christmas folks!

good reminder that leadership is not about having all the answers. It is about knowing what questions to ask and how to communicate across different perspectives.

Yeah, had to boil strips of pork skin to make the jelly, and also lots of very fine dicing, dough making and resting, wrapping, etc… But better than staring at a screen :-)

First time making xiao long bao by myself. Bit of a marathon effort making everything from scratch, but despite the wonky shapes they turned out well. 5 hours of prep time, and all gone in 10 minutes πŸ˜‹

A bag of flour that has been vacuum sealed

I love having a chamber vacuum sealer because it allows me to re-seal things I rarely use in the kitchen, like flour. Thanks Anova for making a domestically-priced model! #cooking #sousvide

The joy of sitting at the counter of a great #cocktail bar and talking to the staff about what _they_ would choose next. Valentin from L’Artchimiste in Lyon suggested a Champs-Γ‰lysΓ©e which I’d never heard of before, but hit the spot with its deep, dark, subtly spiced and quite herbaceous flavour.

Due to the UK’s new age verification law, I had been locked out of Bluesky DMs while in the UK for the last ~10 days. Now in the land of libertΓ© πŸ‡«πŸ‡· and everything works again as it should. How is this UK law about protecting kids?? Feels a tad Orwellian… #freespeech

A website that lets you select a country or state and move it around a Mercator projection map to yield better size comparisons.
