And the problem is that once they get that schedule messed up it becomes a self sustaining feedback loop. Really hard to break.
Sun downing for instance appears to arise from a combination of circadian dysregulation, fatigue, reduced environmental cues, and impaired cortical regulation of behavior. As cognition declines through the day, behavioral symptoms become more pronounced.
Yeah, in a few ways but fundamentally through the circadian rhythm.
Patients experience fragmented sleep at night and increased daytime sleepiness. Daytime napping then further destabilizes the circadian rhythm, creating a feedback loop of worsening nighttime insomnia and daytime somnolence.
My model for the US right now is “unconsolidated personalist regime with the principal suffering progressive cerebrovascular disease and a progressively radicalizing opposition”.

The only quibble I have with the good general’s perspective here is that I think that he underplays the odds that the Iranian state is shattered and everyone loses.

The thing that pisses me off here is that there are scenarios where something like this does become the least bad move.
The Europeans know it too and they’re struggling mightily with it from what I can tell.
I am having a lot of trouble calibrating how bad I actually think things are going to get because it seems straightforwardly true to me that the government* is in the same position.
