shows a snippet from a .vimrc file with the following instructions: " Center the view after jumping to the previous/next paragraph nnoremap { {zz nnoremap } }zz " Center the view after jumping to the next/previous search result nnoremap n nzz nnoremap N Nzz this remaps the {,},n and N actions in normal mode to just also execute zz
Just learned that in Vi you can use 'zz' to scroll the editor view so that the cursor is centered.
So i immediately remapped {,},n,N to always center the cursor after a 'jump'. Feels great!
I'd be happy to hear about your favorite vimrc configs!
