We used to turn our wooden chairs on their side and pretend we were driving
We had small hangers for our then tiny clothes that looked like swords.
Everything in that room was an opportunity to play.

This drawing of the room I shared with my brother Luis in our childhood,comes from an exercise in a book that Laura loaned to me, The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron.
It builds on practices to allow time for yourself. It has helped me connect with many things from both my past and my creative side.
