I really love the fact I’ve been able to make seeing Broadway shows such a regular habit. The jump from none to one a year to multiple a year happened so fast.
I’d be excited to see Maybe Happy Ending regardless of who’s in it but seeing it with someone I’ve been following for over half of my life adds something so much more to the experience

Anyway I started thinking about a trans coming of age story set in the middle of an apocalypse the other day and it’s taking up so much brain space
I’m out here trying really hard to avoid the word “apocalypse” in my synopsis to the class because I know that alone toes the line of both horror and sci-fi only to see some guy writing a space story because he loves sci-fi???? Okay
Assignment: no horror and no sci-fi
Me: …okay so it’s an apocalypse story but it’s not ABOUT the apocalypse it’s about teenagers who happen to be alone during the apocalypse so really it’s a coming of age and has nothing horror or sci-fi related about it
One thing about me is I will always find a new way to accidentally hurt myself
I am, so far, enjoying this semester and will be enjoying is so much more when the one class I don’t really want to take is over with
It’s only an 8 week class so I basically just need to survive this month and then I can focus on the writing classes :3

We can’t do it because she doesn’t want us writing anything that needs to be shot with elaborate special effects but we’re not actually shooting anything we’re writing scripts for? AND you can do horror without special effects? Horror can exist beyond gore and ghosts
