Also just accepting that the code will be absolutely unusable chaos.

Yeah honestly, GH Copilot Pro gives you "unlimited" use of:
- GPT-5-mini
- GPT-4.1
- GPT-4o
These models aren't great but if you say the right words they sometimes type the right code. They are actually fairly usable when you consider you're not paying for the tokens.
My mindset right now is just "ship with bugs". I'm hoping to have a complete & playable game but I'm just accepting that its going to have some bugs. Instead of spending too much time tracking them down, I'm just trying to keep moving forward.
Not used to this approach lol
Always more fun when spells are not just an analog for firearms. This is much cooler than "fireball" or "wand zap" IMO.
How can you not support devs making game boy homebrew?
I love it. Very cool to see new game boy homebrew!
This is a really fun table
Making procedural / generative music is actually easier than it sounds.
Even if you don't have a super strong background in music theory / composition.
I genuinely wish more indie game devs would try it out.
Oh btw, the player is now the "@" symbol for the sake of tradition.
A non palindromic mirrored rule
A non-palindromic non-mirrored rule
A non-palindromic non-mirrored rule
A palindromic rule
Palindromic 1D cellular automata have rules that are the same even when mirrored. These have some interesting properties and my game lets you know when you get one.
#7DRL
I did have time to add procedurally generated music/sound effects to my #7DRL game btw. It's really pretty cool.
Next year I will make a 7-dimensional roguelike for #7DRL
SLAMRL?
This is really such a neat idea.
Really loving these puzzles. The sokoban levels in nethack are always a pain but the idea of puzzles in a RL is very cool to me.
I'm working of a modern file manager with Ratatui. It's still in alpha, but once it's ready, how could I add it to this list?
Awesome. Love2D is a great engine. I actually released a game using it last year. Would use again.
This looks so clean.
Is it a proper terminal app or are you using a game/rendering engine?
Woah that's really cool. I've never seen that in a RL before but I think it fits the genre really well.
This is the approach I should have taken. I just "finished" the core gameplay loop today.
This a really neat concept.
Also, I really like the animated ASCII characters.
I'm really looking forward to playing this.
Forcing the keyboard to show with a hidden input element is such a hacky way to add mobile support to a web game but it technically works.

Roguelike game screenshot
Honestly, I think my #7DRL entry would work better as a more traditional puzzle game. That being said, the roguelike version is really pretty fun and I'm glad I made it.
Might explore the concept as a puzzle game once this is done.
OOOOOOF
Just doxxed this BSky account lmao.
Guess that was inevitable...
RL game title screen
Here's the "title screen" for my #7DRL.
It just throws you right into the "action".
If I end up with enough time on my #7DRL game I'd really like to add some generative music / sound effects.
The #7DRL deadline is coming up quick.
Kinda regretting taking 2 days off but it needed to happen. Got a ton done last night.
I'll port an update soon.

So sad this series is over...
