Yeah honestly, GH Copilot Pro gives you "unlimited" use of:
- GPT-5-mini
- GPT-4.1
- GPT-4o

These models aren't great but if you say the right words they sometimes type the right code. They are actually fairly usable when you consider you're not paying for the tokens.

My mindset right now is just "ship with bugs". I'm hoping to have a complete & playable game but I'm just accepting that its going to have some bugs. Instead of spending too much time tracking them down, I'm just trying to keep moving forward.

Always more fun when spells are not just an analog for firearms. This is much cooler than "fireball" or "wand zap" IMO.

Making procedural / generative music is actually easier than it sounds.

Even if you don't have a super strong background in music theory / composition.

I genuinely wish more indie game devs would try it out.

Really loving these puzzles. The sokoban levels in nethack are always a pain but the idea of puzzles in a RL is very cool to me.

Forcing the keyboard to show with a hidden input element is such a hacky way to add mobile support to a web game but it technically works.

Honestly, I think my #7DRL entry would work better as a more traditional puzzle game. That being said, the roguelike version is really pretty fun and I'm glad I made it.

Might explore the concept as a puzzle game once this is done.
