Best endorsement I can think of Swan Boy:
If you are seeing this: neat! I'm not discussing the USA specifically. This is a broad phenomenon that affects other countries across gender, border, and even political lines.
If you want to make this about the USA, please consider why you're doing American Exceptionalism in the negative sense.
I had a post escape containment last night in a very normal way, and I'm even annoyed with the low-context replies. I can't imagine what it would be like with your reach
This post has escaped containment, and the replies are all people doing US American exceptionalism just in the negative and I'm going crazy
Oh wow, if I had had that, I might not have gotten rid of my 4x5. That looks way easier and chemistry efficient compared to what I was working with.
Speaking of Bruno Mars, "Pop" has Mark Ronson-esque production, I was wondering if he had actually produced it, but it doesn't appear to.
If he had committed to really pursuing a concept album, this would be way more interesting. Instead it falls apart due to a lack of commitment, perhaps ironic given the text of the album. He falls back into old patterns over experimentation.
I don't think I will bother revisiting any of it.
Now that I've listened: there's a lot to like in the new album, marred by terrible lyricism and an inability to fully commit to a concept.
Best tracks: Aperture, Taste Back, Carla's Song
Worst tracks: American Girls, Are You Listening Yet, Coming Up Roses
Talk about "Paint By Numbers"
Oh, it's out. Time to see if he can actually make an album, or if he remains a singles artist.
Yeah, it's an inability to predict anything beyond first-order effects. I think it might be a genuine psychological phenomenon we need to understand, like aphantasia or internal monologue variation.
We are incomplete in our understanding of the variety of human cognition.
Fresh today @escapepod.org, my story WE WHO LIVE IN THE HEART, delightfully narrated by Ibba Armancas

Sigh.
I guess the fucking UCP get a bailout on their garbage budget yet again.
The problem with gambling on oil is you'll hit more often than not.

Took the Summilux out on my Canon RP yesterday. Pretty good light for the first time of the year.

I've still got my adapter around here somewhere... might be good if I can borrow a camera from my friend--the Hasselblad is a bit frustrating to hold sideways for panos π
Heck of a nice set. If I wasn't all in on Nikon, I would be going with Olympus. Great cameras, fantastic lenses
Thanks man ill keep my eyes peeled like malcolm mcdowell
Are you planning on making pins? I don't buy tees personally but I want a pin of Last Place with his soda real bad
I think maybe I'll do a double-exposure roll each on 35mm and 120. We're reaching the tail end of the darkest part of winter, but there still should be some options.
Hmm, my Canon Demi... needs servicing let's say. I do love to push FP4 hard, it gets great contrast at 1600
But intentional double exposures is not something I've ever played with, so that might be the way to go. Good suggestions!
I'm going to participate in this one, but I'm taking suggestions on complications. FP4 has been my go-to stock for a long time, and I usually shoot a roll or more, process them, and have them ready to share same-day.
Anyone have suggestions for fun? 35mm and 120.

He had a posthumous feature on the new Gorillaz album (released last week), as part of that project's meditation on mourning and "afterlife."

As a thank you for fixing his Nikon F2, my friend lent me his Summilux
I'm terrified I'm going to fall in love with it.

A little warm
Another favorite from a recent test shoot. Iβm already making plans for the next one.

I love me some Nikon glass. Took me a bit of a roundabout path to get there, though. I still can't believe I got rid of my first F3. Glad to have it with the F2, now.
Photo of a series of Nikon cameras arranged in a row, as described in the post.
